Mom tips from a mom who loves u

Hi so basically I’ve seen a lot of posts about people who’s parents really never taught them basic stuff about taking care of themselves and making life easier and I wanna help. So here are some tips from a mom (me) who will adopt all of you. Here we go.

  • Keep an open box of baking soda in your fridge to keep odors at bay.
  • Put soft cookies in a sealable container with a slice of bread. It keeps them soft longer.
  • Take your medications with something warm or room temp.
  • A cool cloth across your throat/neck helps stop the urge to vomit when you’re sick.
  • Change your pillowcases twice per week. Once at the least.
  • Use dryer sheets to dust with and you won’t have to dust as often.
  • Unless it’s absolutely neccesary, only wash your hair once every two or three days.
  • Wash your face AFTER you use conditioner. It’ll help prevent pimples on your hairline.
  • Moisturize your skin every day. Yes, you need lotion. Even if you’re not feeling dry. Don’t argue with me, young one.
  • Don’t put toothpaste on your face for zits.
  • Before you hang up your pants, especially denim, smooth them out on a flat surface and wait a minute. It’ll help prevent wrinkles while hanging.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon or a tiny pinch of salt in your coffee grounds before brewing to make it less bitter.
  • Potatoes can help soak up excess salt in an oversalted dish while cooking.
  • Hand wash your bras to make them last longer.
  • The different levels for the clasps on the back of bras is because the elastic wears out over time. Always start out on the one closest to the edge. If that’s too tight or loose, move up or down in band size. (the number part)
  • Don’t put whole tomatoes in the fridge. They lose a lot of flavor and they don’t keep much longer either.
  • Spray perfumes and colognes in the air and walk through the mist. That way it’s not overpowering and you get an all-over scent.
  • Buy moleskin patches to put on areas of shoes that rub blisters on you.
  • Use a moisturizer for your face that has sunscreen.
  • If something is important, write it down and put it in your wallet or phone case.
  • Don’t carry around your social security card, though.

I’ll think of more later. Love you all 💜

Thanks mom 👌💙

My mom taught me some of these things, but this is a nice reminder list.

I’ll have to try the moleskin patches for the heels of my flats! They’re too nice to keep causing me such pain!

let go of your dried petals in the fall. let go of your dried leaves. let them go. move on. and welcome the spring. welcome the coloured petals. welcome the leaves. because a new journey awaits.

places to go:

  • a fairylike garden, full of sunshine
  • a flower meadow where picnics occur
  • foggy forests, a neverending fairytale
  • hidden waterfalls in the mountains
  • tide pools by the sea

If I was taken to build a bear on a date and got to make a stuffed animal I’d literally cry tears of happiness
