FOX AND MARVEL STUDIOS HAVE MADE DEALS TO SWAP CHARACTERS BEFORE!
Marvel and FOX are said to have a tricky relationship, which is what is preventing all Marvel characters from appearing in the same universe, but it seems the two studios are willing to work together when it is mutually beneficial. It has come to light that FOX made so many changes to Negasonic Teenage Warhead for ‘Deadpool’ that they needed approval from Marvel. Marvel gave them that approval, but it came at a price. In exchange FOX gave Marvel permission to use Ego the Living Planet, a character they got with the Fantastic Four rights, in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2′. This follows another deal for two X-Men TV shows, and a whole slew of new X-Men comics and merchandise. Hopefully this is a sign of a better relationship between the two studios in the future!
