Yesterday I did a review post about some of the more tolerable or creative things in the Big Mouth spinoff monster show and one of them was this plotline with Petra (the ambition gremlin) trying to help a nonverbal little kid just get a toy truck he wants, so if you wanted to see what that's like without having to sit through the episode's B plot (which is, unfortunately, about all the other monsters having an orgy) here's a little bit of it. It's just kind of unreal that of any media I've seen with a nonverbal autistic child, a single episode of a fucking Big Mouth spinoff is the first one I've seen to focus on the child's frustration and difficulty dealing with the adults, instead of the reverse. (However if you try to watch this show because of anything I highlighted there is a chance you may regret it and I refuse to take responsibility for your hubris)
EGYPT FROM ABOVE (2020) — (1.02) Engineering the Future
Here. What? What’s this? What’s this? Iguro-san, what’s this? Take them. Huh? For me? *nods* Whaaaaat? I’m so happy! I promise you, I’ll treasure them! No need to treasure them. No way. That would be such a waste. It’s fine. If they get ripped… I’ll give you a new pair.
I hope the homosexual energy I give off is strong, perceptible, and a little ominous
