I’m working on some Halloween merch for writers and need your feedback, amigos!
The designs will feature text and an illustration. Currently I have:
- I’m a writer and in my story you might already be dead
- I trap human souls inside books for fun
I am not sure what you amigos would like to see, so all feedback/suggestions welcome!
Thank you all for the feedback! I really like these two suggestions ^ Going to work on these three designs:
- Currently plotting a murder
- The pen is mightier than the sword
- I trap human souls inside books for fun
Very excited for the designs! For 1, I imagine a skeleton in a graveyard holding a pen, thinking, plotting a murder 💀
Oooh, I love that! Something comes to mind! The skeleton is sitting on a toilet in the middle of a graveyard. In the background are two tombstones with the words ‘UNSAVED DRAFTS’ and ‘MY FIRST FANFICTION’. What do you think?
I LOVE IT!
And for ‘I trap human souls inside books for fun’ what do you amigos think of a demon performing a ritual with a book in the middle of a pentagram, souls getting trapped inside it?
Omg that’s so cool ajskdijd!!
maybe the demon could wear a t-shirt saying “Writer’s Block Club”??
Nice detail! I’ll add that in! (:
Here are the first two designs, amigos! Hope you all like them!
Limited edition! Available until October 13, 2021!

*The artwork is very large, so it is compressed and appears pixelated in the t-shirt preview. However, it’s 300 dots per inch: the print is of high quality.

@forlayina @wolkwolf hope you like the artist design! I also made a new D&D inspired design! (:
These are back until December 6, 2021! The hoodies now have the design on the back, looks better imo.

ANOTHER CLASSIC I LOVE THIS VIDEO
I didn’t know memes could go this far
We have reached the ultimate meme
So, I’ve been pulled over a few times in my life. Not many, but a few. And I’ve also been in a couple of cars that got pulled over. And let me tell you, if you were actually doing something wrong, the officer doesn’t make any small talk, just straight into “I clocked you doing 70 in a 55.” The only time I’ve ever gotten the “do you know why I pulled you over?” was the time when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and I got let go even though he insisted to the end that I was doing 87 in a 70 (white privilege at work).
“Do you know why I pulled you over?” is a trap. It means there’s a good chance the officer doesn’t actually have a good reason to ticket you, and is trying to get you to waive your 5th Amendment rights and incriminate yourself. If you make a guess, that’s a confession of guilt.
But there’s another trap, that I’ve heard of but haven’t yet experienced. It’s “do you know how fast you were going?” With that one, they’re hoping you’ll say no, because then they can name whatever speed they want – you just said you didn’t know how fast you were going, if you deny the speed they name then you’re lying to them.
Oh, I’ve had that one. Go with “yes.” Don’t give them a number, just say “Yes.” Then they still have to offer a number and you can deny it without contradicting yourself. They could just ask you, at that point, but that’s suspiciously similar to saying they don’t know, and they tend to avoid doing that.

So happy to say that we’ve hit the second stretch goal for the artbook! Thank you everyone for supporting! This is Ulf running towards our third stretch goal! If you want to help him get there, you can support him on this link https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1906838062/atey-ghailan-an-artistic-journey?ref=1z0q5z&token=dad959bb
Cop deserves a life sentence. Who knows how many lives he’s ruined with something like this.
Seeing him jump when he realizes he’s being recorded is just
Boost!
I just would like to take a moment and ask y'all nonblacks to think about what this does to a community. Just like, think of the general systemic effects for a moment… Thanks.
Aw hell nah 🤦🏽♀️
destroying the police unions means cops who do this get fired i would like cops who do this to get fired, wouldnt you?
Jesus Christ 🤢
Do you support these cops, huh?
Is this one of those things people assume is a rare or hypothetical scenario just “joked” about in media? Because it’s caught almost constantly and thats *just the times its caught. *
By the way we have over two million people in prison right now and “drug offenses” are the single most common reason at about 48% of all prison sentences, disproportonately consisting of black men. Also even when true, possession of a drug should have never been reason to lock humans in fucking cages.
I hate this I hate this oh my-

It gets better—the guy is deaf, and he taught his cat the sign for “food.” So the cat’s not just saying “put that in my mouth,” it’s actually signing
Not only that, but if you notice at the beginning, the cat *gets the man’s attention* as any person who wanted to talk to a deaf/hoh individual would (well, and vice versa IME). I’ve done sign since I was 5, and generally, w/o eye contact initially, you wave a hand or lightly touch the arm (if that’s ok with the person you’re trying to converse with, of course). Generally, adult cats meow mostly to humans, but this cat has figured out that’s not going to work and has adapted. Animal companions! They are INCREDIBLE.
Amazing.
EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS CAT.
AND THE WAY IT NODS OMG
Sorry for the long post but this is legit one of the BEST movies I’ve ever seen
this meme made me realise that other people apparently know how to show empathy without personal anecdotes
… how…. please teach me
I’m pretty sure none of us will get answers but please…if someone knows the secrets to showing empathy without personal anecdotes please speak up. We need answers
(Me (adhd + autism) can show empathy, but not sympathy. For me, it’s like I do the exact same thing, but as well as showing empathy through anecdotes I show sympathy through empathy).
I have somethin I guess? I’ve been the Support Friend for most of my life so I managed to get it down to a formula. TW: dog death
1. Ask Questions
This is mainly to keep them talking, that way a) they feel like they have a confidante in you, and b) the pressure is less on you to Say Things. In fact it shouldn’t be about you Saying Things at all, it should be you figuring out where they’re at and trying to understand. E.g. “My dog died, I miss him.” Ask questions, and when they start talking, let them talk. “What was his name?” “How and when did he die?” “Tell me about him.” “What was he like?” “What’s your favourite memory of him?” “When did you first meet him?” “Did you teach him any tricks?” Again the point is to keep them talking, the questions are just to get them on a roll. If you’re worrying about what to say next, listen to what they’re saying and ask details of what they’re currently talking about, or mentally prepare your next question.
2. Listen
Let them talk. The more you listen to them talk, the more they feel like it’s okay to talk to you. If they dwindle off, ask them something else to get them talking again. Upset people usually have a lot to say.
Every now and again you can throw in little sentences like “Wow, what a bitch!” “Aw, so sad.” “What the fuck? Why?” just to prove you’re still listening and following, and haven’t wandered off into space.
3. When they’re done, give it back to them
It’s a technique called mirroring. Sum up whatever you heard in short form - if they’ve talked for half an hour about the little details of their deceased pet, say something like “It sounds like he was a very good boy/sounds like he meant a lot to you/sounds like you will miss him.” It’s been known to make people dissolve into a sobbing mess, because this is the part where you prove you’ve done your homework, you listened, you care, you get it.
4. If you really want to offer a solution, ask first. You can just skip this step altogether tbh.
Only when someone has finished talking about whatever is upsetting them, ask if you can help. “Can I offer some advice?” Now is the time for SHORT anecdotes. Short. It’s not about you sharing your story, it’s about them getting advice. Remember they don’t have to take your advice, again it’s about them and their emotions, and they know themselves best. “When my dog died, I did this. Would that help?” “I read somewhere about doing this. Maybe try that and see how it goes?”
Hope this helps y’all. The TL;DR of all this is basically listen, and prove you’re listening.
Thank you!!!
That explanation really is so good!
