Tell me more about the stories you're working on! I'd love to hear more <3

As far as fanfiction goes,

I’m working on an Aemond fic that I may NEVER post to AO3 because I’m self conscious, and actually if you wanted to beta read it, I can feed you the chapters here or through email or whatever so you can have a taste of that between reading chunks of Know You🤣

The premise of that one is that Aegon Targaryen I had more help than the history books let on,

My OC is the descendant of a group of magical people that worship R’hllor and since Aegon conquered Westeros they have been secluded on their island of origin.

From that one I’ve also managed to fuck myself into writing a chunk of an Aegon spinoff and another chunk of a Criston spinoff because I hate myself

Then there’s one about Adam Warlock, where Rocket makes him a *maturing pod* so he can be a fully formed adult, and in the midst of him rapidly “growing up” he meets a woman who teaches him how to be a person and learns something herself along the way awwwww how cuteeeeeee

And me and my grandma are passing a piece back and forth and just kindof narrating our day to day lives really aggressively, so one page is her talking about how much of a dick her boss is and the next one is me talking about the best way to get dog shit out of a sheepskin carpet and it’s really chaotic and pointless but we’ve agreed that whoever dies last has to get it published🤣

I might be convinced to beta your Aemond story, but only once I’ve finished my own, since I don’t want to accidentally steal something. And finishing this story might take some time. But I would LOVE to hear more about it!

Is the additional Aegon fic for Aegon the Conqueror or Aegon from HOTD? And if you read my story, you might just be disappointed in my handling of Criston, because I hate that guy.

Also Adam Warlock learning to be a person seems fun!

And the whole passing writing back and forth with your grandma sounds fun! Its such a lovely thing!

I've thrown together a small playlist for you on spodify. Its just some of my favorite emotional songs.

WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS MAKING ME CRY

I just thought it would be nice! Sometimes I need to listen to other peoples playlists because it provide something different and you sometimes fall over some new awesome music!

being a fan of a character is sometimes “look at how complex he is. he’s so intricate and his story is so tragic and he’s so much more complicated than people give him credit for” and sometimes it’s like “haha look at this failure of a person. I wanna throw him off a cliff and see what happens”

Villain apologist? Nah, I don't apologize for anyone. What my lover does on his days off is not my business.

No, I mean notes like... do you write small notes for the story? Ive got a whole book full of notes. I have profiles of important characters, notes for dialogue, for future chapters or important things I need to remember. That kind of notes.

Bruh, organization WHO?

I actually don’t do notes like that. When I write the story, it’s only things I can come up with off the top of my head and if I look back and I’m not sure about a detail I just go re-read the chapter. I think that also helps me come up with realistic scenarios and stay consistent, because re reading the chapters puts me back into the character’s lives, you know?

I have a bunch of research papers on the various mental illnesses in the chapters but that, I can say, is the only thing I consistently pull out to reference.

I do have a timeline written out, but it’s just vague events like “and then they go here, a leaf falls, they leave and someone yells,” stuff that gives me the BLURRIEST picture of where I want to go, but gives me a ton of freedom to change it. Like if I change a few things in a chapter it likely won’t derail my entire timeline and the ending can still be the same.

The timeline is sacred but the minute details are not✨😈

Bruh, I dont know how you do it like that!

I have a timeline tree (that is what I call it) that flesh out each scene with notes so I can skim through it to find stuff, and then the character profiles, I have pages dedicated for things I’d like to edit, and pages dedicated to the ‘premonitions’ that is a major plot point, so I can remember it. And then there’s the plot point pick up/resolution tree. And the dialogue notes if small pieces of dialogue I want in. And ‘future scenes yet to be written’ so I remember all the scenes I want.

I’m literally filling up a 260 page A4 notebook and Im thinking of starting a new one for S2.

Sounds like you vibe, and I stress lol! Ive done the same thing you do, but I found myself liking to write notes. I think its the autism/ADHD, all my notes are colourful and chaotic.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting things to be perfect! I just know if I tried to do it that way I’d end up not wanting to finish the story- I was terrible in school and I lose my phone 13 times a day and my life is a whole mess and a half🤣

I think it’s beautiful that you CARE enough to put in that level of effort tbh, and you’re damn good at it too. I haven’t read your other stories *big YET😎* but your Aemond story is absolutely premium✨

lol Thanks!

OH. HERES ONE. is there a specific body of literature(can be anything, a magazine, a book, a movie based off a book, - note from your mom, idk, run wild) that introduced you to writing?

Like what is the CORE of your passion?

I think it started with my friend when my friend started to write. She was really good, and she got me to read Twilight, that then turned into reading multiple books, and then I started to hyper-fixate on a band and since she wrote fanfiction for that band I thought I should write too. I was never as good as her. And we've grown apart and moved away and life just happened.

But I've always had stories in my head. So many of them weaved into whatever show or thing I hyper-fixated on. And then I took up writing again and wrote a REALLY BAD fanfic that honestly, belonged on wattpad. I was 16.

And then I kinda wrote a couple of things and then stopped for a longer period. Until lightning struck and I just... picked it back up and I haven't putten it down. Which is really weird.

The fanfic I'm proudest of so far is my Eddie Munson fanfic. It was the first fanfic where I did extensive research, and it got me through tough times at work because autism and work don't really go along. I never thought I'd finish it. But I did. And I still feel the story, still think about it and if S5 comes out and Im not satisfied, I will likely write my own ending that I feel like the characters deserve. It was also the first fanfic where I really tried to make a complex character with quirks and flaws.

And now I'm almost 700 pages deep in my Aemond Fic, and I've only just finished the plot of s1.

That is kind of how it all happened. Sorry for the very long answer!

Not me CRYING because same. Actually that whole first part is basically my exact experience. My friend being better than me, twilight, the whole shebang.

I like that Wattpad is universally the place where people dump their garbage, I didn’t even realize that until recently but like YES I feel that, I have so many fics I haven’t posted that just belong on wattpad because they’re so CRINGE🤣

I have your Eddie fic on my phone’s reading list thing but I’m trying not to dip into it until the next season comes out- my logic is that if I read it now I’m going to go down a stranger things rabbit hole and I’m SO terrified of losing interest in Avatar and not having the motivation to finish the story that I’m not even reading other people’s fics in the fandom because I don’t want to see theirs and confirm for myself that my story is garbage

It’s a whole thing🤣 the hyperfixation is real and it’s a MONSTER.

But it IS on the list😂 and don’t ever apologize, I literally can never get enough of your thorough answers and comments, *chefs kiss*

I DO THE SAME with not reading other peoples fic’s, especially within the same fandom I’m writing for, because I will feel like mine is horrible and wont even compare!

Take your time with my Eddie fic, it’ll stay up. I hope to pick it up again when season 5 comes around.

“And then the wild card was Victoria Pedretti as Nell [Crain]. We looked at a lot of actors for Nell, and we got hundreds of auditions for it, and never really had that moment where we said, “Oh my God, it’s gotta be her.” And then that thing you hear about in Hollywood but you never really see, where we got a self-tape that Victoria had put together. She’d just graduated college. She’s never booked a job. She was brand new. She had an empty resume. I don’t even think she had a current headshot. But she had taped an audition herself and submitted it through her agency, and these tapes come in all the time. They usually land at the bottom of the pile of the casting director. And that tape had done what it’s supposed to do. It had bubbled its way up through all the different assistants, and every step, every person involved at Engine Casting. It made it to my casting director, Annie McCarthy, who I’ve worked with on everything I’ve done. And she called me while we were about to make an offer to another actor. She called me at eleven o’clock at night. And said, “You have to watch this tape. I think this is Nell.” And I said, “This person hasn’t done anything. Are you sure this is the right tape? There’s no resume here.” And that was Victoria. A minute into her self-tape, I knew she was Nell. And that she was a star. I also realised that if we didn’t cast her in this, someone was going to scoop her up very quickly and she would explode. And she has since this.” - Mike Flanagan THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE (2018) Dir. Mike Flanagan
