Helping a father in educating his children

Most of us have had a good education. But some children are deprived of it due to various reasons, the most common reason being lack of financial support.

I have a brother in need, who wants to educate his children but lacks the funds to do so. The school his daughters study in has stopped them from writing exams and if this situation persists they might get expelled,

So i have started a campaign to help this brother in need.

I don’t have a large social outreach, the people who do, i request them to please re-blog this post and share it.

Jazakallahu khairan kaseera

Since a friend of mine passed, I've had two dreams of her. They both gave me closure as I was unable to see her in the days leading up to her death.

The guilt of not seeing her was perhaps the hardest part for me. These dreams gave me a chance to say goodbye. In the last one, we spoke over the phone and she told me about her move. How everything was going great, how she felt healthy again and she was finally happy. And I just cried tears of relief.

I couldn't see her when she was sick. But I'll remember her in this light, happy and healthy. And I'll forever cherish all those childhood memories.

Maybe a sign from God to give us what we missed out on, what we intended and the closure we needed.

Still they turn away˺ when it is said to them, “Beware of what is ahead of you ˹in the Hereafter˺ and what is behind you ˹of destroyed nations˺ so you may be shown mercy.”

Whenever a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it.

And when it is said to them, “Donate from what Allah has provided for you,” the disbelievers say to the believers, “Why should we feed those whom Allah could have fed if He wanted to? You are clearly astray!”

-Surah Yasin | 36:45-47.

Three essential keys to make it through this life: Patience (صبر), contentment (قناعة), and gratitude ( حمد).

Push your hands into the dirtiest parts of yourself. Take the rot and decay and turn it into nourishment and life. Grow a beautiful garden from your aching and teach yourself how to thrive from it.

Tumblr is not a place to seek knowledge. You can be reminded/inspired. But actual knowledge should NOT be taken from random blogs. You study deen according to its usool. If you’re going to ask someone, ask qualified people. Extremism in all its forms can be triggered by following certain blogs, while one has no knowledge or sense for critical thinking. Especially young people.. Please be careful.

China is putting Uyghur Muslims into Concentration Camps

This is one of the greatest attrocities and oppression taking place in the world today yet still it is one of the least talked about issues. It’s estimated possibly over 2 million Uyghur Muslims have been put into these concentration camps which China calls “re-edcuation camps” and the goals is to wipe out and clean them from their cultural and religious identity. They have built dozens of these camps with fortified walls and barbed wire fences which they hide from the world media.

China sees Islam as an ‘ideological disease’. Many of the people put in these camps don’t make it out alive due to to the harsh living conditions inside. Many leave behind children who are then sent to government run orphanages and are brainwashed from a young age removing their cultural and religious identity.

Uyghur Muslims can be arrested and put in these camps for the smallest of reasons and every step they take is monitored by the authorities. Facial recognition cameras and high tech equipment has been deployed in East Turkestan turning it into a complete surveillance state. This isn’t fantasy or ‘fake news’. This is happening now in East Turkestan. Don’t let history repeat itself. Share and let the world know the truth.

This is really happening and western media has done nothing to bring attention to it. We covered this in my Global Politics class when talking about ETHNIC CLEANSING. Please, please spread this.

Please reblog.

Please Reblog!

If awareness is not spread we are part of the on-going problem. Can you imagine what these poor people and there families are going through?

If nothing else then Please for the love of God REBLOG, REBLOG, REBLOG.

Shameful if we can’t do as much as spread awareness for our brothers and sisters by forwarding or reblogging.

I’ll keep reblogging because I care Alhamdulillah

Stop this “work hard” bullshit. You deserve free time, you deserve sleep and you deserve mental health. You deserve to procrastinate and you deserve to have your hobbies. You deserve it. You need it. No one should work & study all the time.

Anyone who says this isn’t a millionaire by any means. The only people who care so much about needing to take a break are ones who aren’t happy with their careers. y'all aren’t tired, you’re uninspired.

Obviously wealthy people take breaks. but they don’t live to take a break, they know when its time to work and when they need to rest. thinking about taking a break literally stays programmed into your brain and conditions you to want to do less. What you focus on becomes your reality. Stop thinking about taking a break if you haven’t even started. and if you’re not happy with what you’re doing and its affecting your mental health which is also very real I’m not tying to denote that, then you should be looking into making life changes.

A poet said:

“Eight things are inevitable upon the youth.
Happiness and worry, meeting and separation, ease and difficulty then illness and health.”

ISLAM 101: Spirituality in Islam: Part 20

Muraqaba (Self Supervision)

Self-Supervision Muraqaba has been defined as watching, supervising, controlling, and living in the consciousness of being controlled (by God). Sufis take this further, by defining it as setting one’s heart solely on God, abandoning any attachment to that which is other than Him, denying to one’s carnal self all that is forbidden, acting in the certainty that the Divine Knowledge encompasses all things, and living in accordance with Divine commandments.

We can also interpret muraqaba as trying to observe whatever God wills, and leading a life in unwavering sincerity and in the consciousness of His constant supervision. Such an attitude is possible when the servant knows that the Almighty is aware of all that he or she does, says, knows, and thinks, as stated in the Qur'an: In whatever state you may be, and whichever part of the Qur'an you recite, and whatever deed you do, We are witnesses over you when you are deeply engrossed therein (10:61).

If muraqaba means closing one’s heart to all that displeases Him and separates one from Him, and opening the spirit to receive the radiances, gifts, and favors coming from Him, then we must close what we must and open what we must. The first steps to muraqaba are to accept as great what God has decreed as great, to accept as worthless what He has decreed as worthless, and to prefer His Will and desires over our own. Thinking of the depth of God’s Mercy increases and strengthens one’s love of God and desire to worship Him, and fear and awe of Him causes one to lose any appetite for sin and to live a careful life. Muraqaba leads men and women to discard anything that harms their worship, and to maintain the purity of their thoughts, actions, and intentions even when they are alone, in the consciousness of His continual observation.

Muraqaba is one of the most important and direct ways of reaching God without a guide. It resembles the type of sainthood attained through succession to the Prophetic mission, which is conveying the Divine Message to people, without following a spiritual order. Such travelers can turn to God at any time or place in awareness of their helplessness and destitution, and be admitted to a “private meeting” with Him based on their need. They feel God’s constant supervision while they are watching nature, and so avoid whatever is other than Him; they are deaf to all sounds and voices that are not related to Him; and they praise His Beauty and Grace, and regard it as useless to mention something that is not concerned with Him.

As a matter of fact, if one’s eyes do not remind one of His Seeing, one’s ears of His Hearing, and one’s tongue of His Speech, how can these organs be used other than as pieces of flesh? Rumi says:

God Almighty described Himself as the All-Seeing in order to warn you against evil, He described Himself as the All-Hearing to admonish you not to say anything bad, and He described Himself as the All-Knowing to inform you that He knows you and therefore to exhort you to be alert to corrupt thoughts and considerations.

Rumi regards self-supervision as a protecting screen from evil emotions, thoughts, passions, and acts, and considers it the safest way to be attentive to Divine rights.

The first step in self-supervision is voluntary submission to the Divine Will and wishes in the conviction that He is present everywhere and is aware of all our thoughts, intentions, and deeds: God is Watcher over all things (33:52). The second step is to turn to God with a heart at rest and patiently anticipate the flow of Divine gifts and blessings into one’s heart.

This does not require any physical or spiritual attachment to or relationship with a guide, or the regular recitation of God’s Names. However, if one wishes to follow a guide and regularly recite His Names in accordance with the defined principles, it will certainly be much better. To the extent that an initiate, whether on the first or second step, can act according to the meaning of the Prophetic Tradition: “Perfect goodness is that you worship as if seeing God, for even if you do not see Him, He certainly sees you,”[1] and that, always seeing himself or herself as helpless, destitute, and needy before God, believes Him to be the sole point of reliance and source of help, he or she may be traveling safely on the path of self-supervision and therefore be secure against deviation. Over time, those who follow such a path will acquire a peace of heart that will allow their conscience to remain open to Divine gifts and receive radiances from the One of Unity.

One of the most important mechanisms of self-supervision is muhasaba (self-criticism). As this method of self-control allows believers to become aware of personal faults and their causes, they can find the truth in their hearts and then display it in their conduct. In this spirit, the meaning and mystery of: Glory be to Him Who sees me, knows my place and hears my speech manifests itself. Such people know that the Divine Knowledge and Will always keep them under control and, regardless of location or action, seek only God’s pleasure by trying to act in accordance with His wishes.

It was said to Imām Mālik (رحمه الله) :

How did you wake up this morning? He said:

"In a life that is decreasing and amongst sins that are increasing."

— [Muwattā of Imām Mālik 1/54]

“There is a plant called Bakers Globe Mallow (lliamna baker) that has such a hard shell, one of the only ways it can germinate is through a wildfire.

As a result, for more than a hundred years this seed can lie dormant under the soil, not manifesting a single sprout.

It’s not until a wildfire blazes through the forest, softening and breaking the shell of its seed, that water can reach the core of the plant and germinate it. While most trees, plants, and flowers burn in fire, the Bakers Globe Mallow grows because of the fire.

Sometimes the wildfires of pain don’t just destroy what we love, they also unveil hidden seeds of beauty and strength within us that we never knew existed and were unable to manifest in conditions of ease.

God sometimes tests us in order to break the shells of our hearts—creating the opportunity for us to manifest into a garden of faith. Just as an egg must break for a bird to be hatched, sometimes God has to keep breaking our hearts until a path to the light is opened.”
