I come from a place of sheer curiousity and I just wanna ask genuinely- you say that you're a fan of 13s/ the chibnall era. Why? Doctor who is my favourite show and I've connected with every incarnation deeply and immediately, but have never been able to "click" with 13, despite my best efforts. What is it that you like about her? What is it that you like about chibnalls writing? I want to know and I want to like her/it too, but as of right now, I just... don't. Obviously you're not obligated to, but can you explain why?

Ok so this ended up being a Long Post, so I'm putting my response under the read more. Also I'm assuming you've actually watched the Chibnall era up to The Power of The Doctor, if you haven't then heads up for spoilers and stuff that might not make much sense without context.

Oh and I'm gonna @ @rearranging-deck-chairs and @ssaalexblake because I see their DW opinions all the time and they're really good and they can probably give more nuanced answers on some things. (Idk how well I did on explaining why I liked some of them, and it really is up to personal preference on some things)

pretty sure im not the first one doing this but couldnt stop thinking about it! so!

I don't mean to be rude but...Please don't you dare make Barbie Lesbian! Or even Bi! Big No. Don't ruin her. She represents the icon of a healthy straight feminine woman, a Free Independent Woman Actress, Who Doesn't judge everyone, and always turns out A Hero. A Hero. There is no ship besides Barbie x Ken. It's our childhood, it's memories, it's canon. It's classic.

I'm telling this from the perspective of a Bi-Genderfluid woman. Yes this is the only character that I will never ship with a woman or even other man. Damn I cannot even imagine her having someone else besides Ken.

Jeez, she is not even married to Ken but still it is what it is.

A healthy straight smart woman with an equally healthy masculine respecting and loving man.

It is what it is.

damn that's crazy gonna draw them making out next

I’m Christian and respect the order of creation as God intended it but I’m not gonna lie if I could take a massive vat of agar and grow an alive shopping mall made out of red blood and meat and feed it living human bodies to make it expand larger with more shops and amenities, Without hesitation, Without question I would do exactly that

i just feel at home on this website

Some of my personal favorite jokes I’ve seen about the Klingon scene in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, “Subspace Rhapsody”. For those of you who don’t know, after like 60 years Trek did a musical episode.

  • The Bat’leth Boys
  • You haven’t heard “Bye Bye Bye” until you’ve heard it in the original Klingon
  • K-Pop stands for Klingon Pop
  • New Kahless on the Block
  • Garkog the Autotuned

found a twitter tweet that was like "oh yeah content warning hatoful boyfriend has a lot of gore and violence" and every single person in the notes/retweets/qrts/whatever the fuck terms twitter has was going "WHAT THE FUCK IT HAS WHAT" and i find that hilarious because. large amounts of gore and violence is a tremendous understatement about the amount of stuff that goes down in hatoful boyfriend

The Divine comedy - Inferno

Just a little comic I made for funzies in class. The artstyle was kinda winged and experimental ^^

"The trannies should be able to piss in whatever toilet they want and change their bodies however they want. Why is it my business if some chick has a dick or a guy has a pie? I'm not a trannie or a fag so I don't care, just give 'em the medicine they need."

"This is an LGBT safe space. Of COURSE I fully support individuals who identify as transgender and their right to self-determination! I just think that transitioning is a very serious choice and should be heavily regulated. And there could be a lot of harm in exposing cis children to such topics, so we should be really careful about when it is appropriate to mention trans issues or have too much trans visibility."

One of the above statements is Problematic and the other is slightly annoying. If we disagree on which is which then working together for a better future is going to get really fucking difficult.

I think this is something young people in particular are confused about. My dad has always had a slightly off color sense of humor, he always feels the need to privately ask me “boy turned girl or girl turned boy?” if I mention a friend and stress said friend’s pronouns, and yet when we had repair work done in the house and the worker was listening to a podcast discussing the evils of transgender people and how to cleanse society, he went out of his way to contact the owner of the business to discuss his disappointment with that worker’s conduct and stress the negative effect that could have had if there had been trans kids in our home.

Our allies will never be perfect. They will never use the perfect language or have the perfect politics. But we have to appreciate those allies and meet them where they are, especially if they are willing to learn.
