hi i'm more active on twitter now: ODOROKl (last letter is a lower case L)

she ebbin on my neezer til i scrooge

so, here's the thing. tumblr/apple can ban as many words as they want and it will never achieve their goal of "cleaning up" this site because this wretched nonsense poetry is somehow now the single dirtiest thing I have ever read in my life and honestly thank god.

sorry

See the thing is that performing femininity DOES empower women. Most women are very aware that they are treated better when they wear makeup and dress femininely. But no man is afraid of eyeliner “sharp enough to kill a man”. No woman ever got a job over a man because she was wearing heels and he wasn’t. But women have lost opportunities and been treated like shit for not doing those things.

Female empowerment through performing femininity does not give women power over men. It gives women power over other women. That fucking sucks.

sorry i’ve been inactive for so long. if we are mutuals and you want to stay in touch my twitter account is @ODOROKl (lower case L at the end)

M’baku is 100% in it for the drama. Examples:

  • Makes grandiose speeches and is willing to die trying to get the throne
  • Let’s Nakia, Shuri, Ramonda, and Everett kneel before him - proclaiming him the person they’re willing to follow and stand behind, knowing full well T’challa is alive
  • Saves that info until he’s convinced they mean it (bc he feels his people have been slighted and deserves the respect - true)
  • Threatens to feed Everett to his children
  • Constantly interrupts heartfelt family moments
  • Refuses to give aid to T’challa when he asks
  • Shows up when and/or waits until T’challa is losing and helps turn the tide of battle

laughs at his own joke for like a minute while everyone else is like “this is a very serious situation, you have to know that” and he’s still just like “feed him to my children! fuck I’m so fucking funny”

Unexpected Benefit of Black Panther: my local pet shelters went from having something like 50-60 black cats between them to having NONE, becuase they’ve all been adopted out and named after the characters. “T’challa” is the most popular, but there are a fair number of “Okoye”s and “Shuri”s as well.

…and one very confused Elderly Humane Society Volunteer wondering why someone would name such a sweet cat “Killmonger”.

Attention ALL artists!

You sure have seen this post. It has spread like wildfire over the past few days so I doubt there is any artist out there who hasn’t seen it. But even if you didn’t, you should read on because I’m about to tell you a handy little thing that can help you to protect your art from such assholes as the anon who submitted this bullcrap, as well as art thieves in general.

The magic word is Metadata.

Metadata is like an invisible signature that is embeded into a file. It can contain all kinds of information, like Title, date, keywords for online seach engines, and copyright information. And the best thing is, since this information is “hidden” in the code of your picture, it’s hard to remove it.

There is a nice basic tutorial on how to add Metadata, or “additional file information” to your images in photoshop. It’s really, really easy so check it out!

I’m not sure if you can do the same with any other art program. If you know how to do this in other programs / can confirm that it works the same way there, please tell me so I can add the information to this post.

Adding the Metadata will not stop idiots from taking and reposting your art. It also won’t make them stop editing out your signature. It WILL however, help you prove that you are the original artist whenever you have to. Always remember my friends. You, the artist, are protected by law. No one has the right to take your intellectual property and hard work and repost, use or edit it without your permission. Ever.

art thief: well how can you prove its yours??

I spread the word as it is important to all artist who ever suffered from art thieving or so.

You guys, metadata is super important, you guys. In an everday and legal sense. People legitimately look at and rely on metadata to know the basic, but important bits of information about a digital product (paintings, photographs, exe files, etc.), ESPECIALLY the source.

Don’t underestimate it!

The days where Native American tribes were forced to give up their land are far from over.

Here are four sacred Native American sites in danger of being destroyed in the name of corporate greed.

Badger-Two Medicine

The Blackfeet Tribe calls the land of Badger-Two Medicine “the Backbone of the World,” the place where the story of their people began. But now the mineral-rich land, located in modern day Michigan, is in danger of being drilled for oil.

Solenext, LCC, the last of the 47 leaseholders of the land, filed a lawsuit so that drilling could begin. Earl Old Person, a member of the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council since 1954, is fighting to preserve what he calls “an altar to the Blackfeet Confederacy.” He wrote a letter to Obama urging the president to intervene.

Oak Flat

After lawmakers slipped in a clause in the National Defense Authorization Act that swapped 2,400 acres of copper-containing land for 5,300 acres of substandard land, the San Carlos Apache tribe has been fighting to preserve Oak Flat.

The land is located in Arizona and contains Apache Leap, a place where 75 Apache men, women, and children were massacred.

In response to the controversy, the international mining corporation, Resolution Mining Inc., said that the mine could be a good thing because it could employ Native Americans.

The Black Hills

The Lakota, Nakota, and Dakota peoples, who suffer from systemic poverty, turned down $1.5 billion offered to them for the Black Hills, land the Keystone XL Pipeline would intersect. That’s how much this land matters to them.

Rosebud Sioux Tribe President Cyril Scott has called the Keystone XL Pipeline “an act of war.”

The Osage Mounds

The Chahokian Mounds are the artifacts of an ancient, complex civilization. The modern Osage consider themselves to be descendants of these mound builders, the architects of the most important city to the Mississippians.

But the NFL’S St. Louis Rams are planning on paving over what’s left of it to build a new stadium. Indian Country Today Media Network reports that the project has a $1 billion price tag and that its construction is still in its early development.

Hopefully the mound can still be salvaged.
