this is an imaginary story. aren't they all?

did not expect my adventures with superman to be a mecha anime

oh i thought the whole show dropped not just two episodes. uhhh this is aggressively fine so far and i still dislike the art style as much as i did when the show was first announced

u helped me a lot to understand the dc universe when i was younger. some part of my appreciation for dc started with you and your posts. again: hope you are well. sincerely, anon.

wow, this is probably the nicest message i've ever gotten in my 10+ years on tumblr thank you!!

i'm glad to hear that my ramblings and attempts at analysis helped to understand the mess that is comic book continuity. i haven't kept up as much with specifically dc comics in the last few years, but i will always love these characters and their stories.

i hope that you are doing well, too, anon!

I really want write fic about Cissie, because I think she’s the best and I want to give her more members of a found family who support her. But she tends to only be used as a background character in fics, and I’m not sure there would be that much interest. I know the Batfam and their specific fanon has pretty much consumed DC fandom, but do you think it’s still worth it to write fic about other characters? I’d like to, but it really seems like Batfam writers are the only ones who get all the recs and attention and praise, and I’m wondering if I’m setting myself up for disappointment by writing something else. Can I get your thoughts?

yes, i think it's absolutely worth it! a thousand times yes!

i understand the desire for peer recognition and approval, and having a bunch of numbers right below your fic/art/edits to tell you exactly how "good" you're doing engagement wise can be discouraging, but making something that you want to see and that you have a passion for is always important. :)
