The Good Place pilot summary

Concept: It’s mid-October, Halloween is just around the corner and there’s a street festival in town. The cold breeze is laced with the scent of cinnamon and caramel with a hint of coffee. The ground is dusted with hay and bright leaves get caught in piles as they dance across the town hundreds at a time. You’re snuggled up in your sweater, scarf, boots, hat, and gloves as you stroll through looking at every vendor you pass. To keep warm you buy a cup of cider and sip lightly until it cools a bit more. There’s Jack-o-lanterns on every surface and scarecrows out in the fields. It’s sunny in the morning, but as they day goes on a storm rolls in and a grey overcast settles over the town. It’s perfect.

What do you say? Uncharted metagalactic travel through a volatile cosmic gateway. Talk about an adventure.

My fave thing about Black Panther is that they had the perfect setup for the Jabari to be the villains. The challenge, the black and white aesthetic, the toothy masks and secluded mountain lair surrounded by ice and snow and rock… and instead, they turn out to be cool warrior dudes led by a nerd who makes ill-timed (and hilarious) jokes and who’s only stated issue with T’Challa’s reign (besides an old feud that’s been pretty much been left alone for a couple hundred years) is that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for a sixteen year old to be running all of Wakanda’s R&D department, which considering he’d never met Shuri before is a very valid thing to be worried about.

let me tell u as someone with no impulse control the ‘treat yo self’ episode of parks and rec is very dangerous 

thor is that chad looking dude pathetic men try to say is the enemy and he’s always sort of messing around in class so u think he’s sort of an ass but one night you end up at the same party as him and find out he’s the DD for everyone there. He makes 15 trips. He carries four grown men into their dorms on his shoulders and makes sure they pass out on their sides so they’re safe but not until he makes all of them drink a glass of water.

then he asks everyone else who’s still conscious if they want to go to steak n’ shake before the night ends. he pays for all the shakes.
