what really got to me about the barbie movie is how the movie is really about how there is still a little girl inside all of us, and when you walk around the movie theater and see all these grown women dressed in pink and visibly excited, it's a reminder of that. but moreso, it's how your mother is a little girl too. and that all comes together in the end when barbie meets her creator. barbie was made so ruth's daughter could be anything she wanted to be, and she named her after her. in the end when ruth helps barbie become human, she is her mother. and when in the end barbie introduces herself as barbara, she is her daugher again. you can be anything, but being human and mortal and imperfect is the greatest gift of all.

When other vigilantes found out about the mass of kids Bruce has casually adopted, they were so shocked.

But after a while, it start to made sense. At the end of a long night he would still stop at CVS to get Tim the cough medicine he needed.

He was so good at talking down angry kids on the street because of the amount of times he did the same with Jason.

He’s always pays closer attention than most to the rooftops, because thats what you have to do when you’re oldest son has a knack for flipping off them.

He was made to be a father.

Over the course of the game, roll a d20 every so often.

This measures the progress of a different, unmentioned party of adventurers who are on their own quest to stop an unrelated threat to the entire mortal world.

If you get a one they fuck up and die so the world abruptly ends with no warning.

Trying to creep a mutual's recent posts right now and making no headway whatsoever because their blog theme is paginated and they're posting so fast that by the time I flip to page two it's the same posts I just read on page one.

I'm generally of the opinion that it's bad form to try and Sherlock Holmes anybody's gender, but over the years I've made the acquaintance of a number of self-styled Internet toughguys who insist they're into gender-bending stuff for edgy, not-giving-a-shit-about-your-lame-social-norms reasons, and whenever one of them re-enters my personal orbit I'd be lying if I claimed I didn't quietly check their profile to see if anything I know needs updating.

The wild thing about the whole “we’ll pay you for one day’s work to scan you and use your likeness in anything we want forever” is that they aren’t even offering the same licensing expectation you would give to a font.

the fact that the first female human experience barbie goes through is being self conscious and experiencing sexual harassment mirrors how growing up as a girl one day you’re okay and the next all of a sudden you feel bad about your appearance and are receiving unwanted advances is something that can be so fucking important to be recognized in film
