Hi Neil,

First of all, I hope this ask sees you well, and that you’re having a good day ^^

I just wanted to clarify something regarding the recent strikes. I heard that, as far as the SAG AFTRA strike is concerned, any online content is considered promotion, and that cosplay content such as photos and videos by independent creators (of series’ both past and present of the studios in question) would be considered crossing the picket line. They had presented an email as proof of this, but the crop of it made it difficult for me to determine the veracity of it. Have you heard anything about this, and if yes, is it true?

Unless you are a SAG-AFTRA member promoting an actual show that you were actually in online, you aren't in violation of any rules. Anyone who tells you otherwise, trying to persuade people not in SAG-AFTRA that they are "crossing a picket line" by putting up cosplay videos or whatever is trolling people and hoping to upset them for their own purposes which are not those of the unions.

SAG-AFTRA has released an FAQ for influencers wanting to make sure they are honouring the unions wishes that can be found below! This is not going to apply to the majority of fans talking about content you love, this is for people being approached to specifically promote struck work.

Union strong!

Specifically, for influencers who are in SAG-AFTRA, and have signed agreements with SAG-AFTRA as paid influencers.

Nothing can describe the sheer disappointment I feel when I see people say Mario is a “bad brother” (HE IS A GOOD BROTHER‼️‼️)

Isn't it obvious? xD I just drawing her randomly winking for no reason lmao

Btw, the kimono collar is flipped to be culturally accurate! Japanese kimono collar is left over right.

Bonus shitpost under the cut:

I'm just gonna slide this on in here for anyone that is interested in preserving old games. They take it very seriously too, they want an archive of every single game. Like, they have lists of every game ever released for a system, and once that system gets old enough, they add it to their archive and start collecting. Their latest addition was the Xbox 360, they opened that vault up in September 2022, and proudly announced they'd finished their collection of games for it back in April.

Also, while their game archives are almost entirely complete, they've got another project of archiving the manuals that came with those games, and that is... considerably less well filled out. Their collection of Xbox 360 manuals is especially rough, they've only gotten manuals for three games. So if you've got some Xbox 360 games kicking around, and the manual's still with them, please consider scanning them and submitting them to the site!

Game preservation is important, but people rarely consider preserving the manuals as well; I really respect Vimm's Lair for being so thorough in their archival work.
