70s copaganda study on my girlfriend's request!
End-of-year roundup of some sketches I've done of my sweetheart @roxy-returns from the past year. Half are my favorites, half are hers!
Being with her this year was wonderful. Here's to another one starting soon 💖

Lil Adam West study for fun!
Progress on my current project ! Having some with stripes and slashing this time around. Didn't take any progress photos for the hosen/pants because it broke my brain a little, lol. I also started doing fingerloop braiding for the lacing cords.
I still have to fix a few things on there, including fixation on the brustfleck, and after that onwards to making the hat !
On this day, 15 June 1990, the Battle of Century City took place, as police in Los Angeles attacked striking janitors and their supporters during a peaceful Service Employees International Union demonstration. Janitors in the Century City office complex, most of whom were employed by cleaning contractor ISS, had gone out on strike on May 29 demanding improvements to pay and conditions. On the June 15 protest, LAPD officers brutally attacked the workers and their supporters, leaving several people seriously injured, including one pregnant woman who miscarried as a result. Rather than deter the workers, the violence caused mass outrage. And ISS subsequently agreed to recognise the workers’ union, provide for family health coverage and pay a living wage. The event also began to be commemorated with the creation of an annual June 15 Justice for Janitors Day. * If you value our work researching and promoting people’s history like this, please consider supporting us on patreon, where you can also get exclusive content and benefits: https://patreon.com/workingclasshistory https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=644834894356396&set=a.602588028581083&type=3
hey if anyone's been reblogging the fearmongering posts about temu pls give this a read. basically
- the "pyramid scheme" is a rewards program where you can sign up with a referral code and the person gets points, like most shopping apps
- the authors of the articles discussing the potential cybersecurity risks brought up "communist china" multiple times in those exact words with a lot of sinophobia in the text
- the "can access everything on your phone" thing wasn't even temu, it was an entirely different app that had an infected installation circulating
- it's just a wish.com / aliexpress competitor. it'll rip you off, or it won't. who knows. you're buying directly from manufacturers and thats why it's cheap
just a little reminder that you can be autistic & still be ableist toward other autistic people.
i've had low support needs autistic people tell me that my traits make me "childish", "embarrassing", or even "gross". you are not an ally to autistic people unless you support them in every aspect of their disability.
that includes the lovely autistic people who stim wildly in public, who need assistance with using a toilet, who neglect their hygiene due to executive dysfunction, who compulsively pick at their skin or hair, who can't control the sounds they make, who don't understand things first-try or at all.
you have to support autistic people whose disability looks different to yours.
we're not childish, or embarrassing, or gross. we're autistic - just like you - so don't treat us as if you're somehow superior for having more "palatable" traits.

hey all. i never thought i’d have to make One Of These Posts, but here goes.
i’m a 21 yo gay muslim romani university student from greece. despite what the stereotype may be i come from a family where begging for money is considered inherently scummy, so you may understand why this post is particularly hard for me to make, and i wouldn’t be here right now if i hadn’t run out of options.
my family and i recently had to amass a large sum of money to pay for a relative’s cancer operation, and i had to chip in. the money i gave away was destined for my rent and living expenses for the month of june, but seeing how the situation was extremely urgent i didn’t think twice about it.
only issue is, i’m a student in a city other than the one i’m permanently living/working in, my finals are starting this week and i have a grand total of twenty euros to my name. i’ve only been eating bread for the past three days, and if i don’t make rent by next week i will be evicted and therefore unable to partake in my exams, which means getting my degree will be prolonged by another term aka even more expenses i’ll have to cover.
here is a link to my paypal. i’m currently 400€ short for my rent which is obviously the most pressing matter at the moment. the local soup kitchen serves pork-based dishes like five times a week and i’ve decided i’ll go there only as a last resort, so any amount gathered over that will be used for food. i’m kindly asking you to help me get by for the next month and a half. every single euro or reblog helps. thank you all in advance, god bless.
It seems that with any other axis of oppression Tumblr understands that there are groups that benefit at the direct expense of others, but when it comes to sexism it's "wellll it's complicated." What used to be known as "the feminism website" is witnessing the movement's death by a thousand cuts of "nuance." Many on here don't see the gendered division of labor as a labor issue, or conceptualize violence against women the same way they conceptualize any other type of hate crime. I feel like we need to return to the most basic, entry level 2013 "feminism is good, women are oppressed, feminism can and must be compatible with trans issues" messaging because clearly not everyone here is even on that level.
“When he was born I took him see his grandfather. I brought him to the construction site where he worked, so they could meet. But my dad didn’t even make an effort. It was the same thing I remembered from my childhood. Never once do I remember: ‘Oh, let’s go to the water park.’ He’d spend all his money on friends and girls. And when he did come home he was always screaming, always hitting. For every little thing: if we didn’t brush our teeth, if we didn’t help out enough around the house. He treated my mom bad too. I tried to stop it. When I got older people would have to physically separate us. The anger is in me too. It comes from the inside. I’ll start to get mad, and suddenly it’s all over me. But whenever that starts to happen, I think: ‘I’m not going to be him. I’m not going to be him.’ I’ll walk away and calm down. Then I’ll come back and apologize. I’ll say: ‘What you did was wrong. But it was also wrong for me to speak that way. And I promise not to be like that again.’ I try to show him respect. Even though he’s a kid, he deserves the same respect as any person, even more, actually. Because an old person knows what’s going on, and he doesn’t. I always say goodnight with a kiss. And I just try to be as patient as I can. Always, always, always. I can read the way he is. Like, he doesn’t need to tell me if something is bothering him. Because I can see it in his face. He’s a super kind boy. I haven’t noticed any anger in him at all. Not at all. Sometimes I worry, that I need to push him a little harder to be tougher. Because he’s just so kind, I mean, look at him. Look at him.”
