women can be friends and lovers
she butterfly on my effect til i (gravely serious) everything could have been different
EXTREMELY minor gripe, I love those radfem graphics about womanhood being separate from stereotypes and still being a woman without performing them, I really do
but it kindaaaa chafes me when those graphics are still like. aesthetically feminine.
feminist infographics if I had my way
Hell yeah
when you're talking with a friend and they say "...can I be a little problematic?"

I feel so bad for this kid and her mom. Her mom has clearly realised something the kid still has yet to learn and just wants to protect her from body modification and permanent reliance on the medical industry.
This older woman has gone through something many women go through. She's fought through all the terrible things the world says about women and learned to love herself.
in third grade on the swing with my friend i announced “i figured it out” and my friend said “figured what out” and i said “the meaning of life!” and being third graders this was very exciting so she leaned in and i whispered in her ear “it’s to have fun” and i don’t remember her reaction but i remember how i felt and how i knew so clearly that was the answer. how my small mind was beaming and shimmering with this answer that makes me scoff today but i know that they were right. i was right

I am so sick of asexuals/aromantics making everything feminist about them. Female characters who don’t want to be forced into arranged marriages or who recognize that their value is not tied to their relationship with a man are “asexual.” Merida is “asexual” Barbie is “asexual” any woman who doesn’t want to be subservient to a man they aren’t attracted to is “asexual.” Feminist messages go over their head because all they can see is a woman who is willingly single and I guess they think any woman who experiences sexual attraction is just so eager to jump on someone? So the only explanation is that she must not be attracted at all, otherwise she would just date whoever shows up first? And then you get into the situations where they attribute blatant misogyny to “aphobia.” Women are shamed for not being in a relationship or having kids no matter the reason. The issue is not that someone is asexual or whatever, it’s that she’s a woman and she doesn’t answer to a man. It’s that she’s a woman whose sense of self revolves around her and not some other person. Women and girls who are killed for saying no are killed regardless of why they said no. Lesbians are killed for turning down men because they aren’t attracted to men, straight women are killed for turning down men because they’re already with another man, it doesn’t matter why she said no to the man who kills her. The “no” is the problem.
Same thing happens to women in history who, because of oppression, had to dress or pretend to be men to enjoy any semblance of freedom or independence…and suddenly she’s trans. Fuck off.
