Really though John was crazy for this. Drawing Sam as a Christ figure while also ignoring the sacred heart and replacing it with a hole. The colt “the one the only one” he knew the whole time, but he also thought on some level Sam was holy. Even when he was hugging Sam and thinking of them as family again he was also thinking about the day he’d have to kill his own son like John Winchester I want to crack you open and eat your brain
