(231218) @bumkeyk: hyung, it's been awhile. my bones are sorely cold but, strangely, i wanted to go see you by myself today. taemin finished his performance well yesterday, and we're all doing well! as i get older, i think about it once in awhile. if we cared for each other and respected each other more like we do now when we were young, would the times that passed feel less regrettable? of course, these thoughts are one of the great gifts hyung left us! us who had passed hyung's age, have become children with stronger hearts and are more honest about our feelings. thank you. whenever a new year comes, i think about you a lot and i hope you're doing well there. i love and miss you. kibummie. ps. i don't have any pictures to use, so don't be mad at me for using ugly ones. Anonymous asked:

There is no "Palestine resistance", dingbat. Hamas are fucking terrorists who have repeatedly, explicitly, called for Jewish genocide and are willing to use civilians as meat shields to do it.

hm. i do think it’s futile to respond to you but i figured i’d use your lovely ask here as a means to educate others on this matter.

first of all… i don’t think hamas has ever called for jewish genocide. not to my knowledge and at least not of late, and it is entirely racist and dehumanising of you to ignore an actual genocide by citing “a potential call for one”. what’s happening right now is an actual genocide. more than 15,000 palestinians have been killed, a good portion of them being children. that cannot be ignored.

now, if you wish to quote the 1988 hamas charter at me, i’d suggest you take a look at the most recent statements by hamas instead. 1988 was a long time ago. unless you wish for me to bring up the older teachings of zion and quotes by ben gurion, herzl, etc. apparently that is somehow “counterproductive” and “antisemitic” but citing outdated statements from a resistance group made up of people who have been oppressed for decades is completely fine because it aligns with your racist agenda, hm?
and even so, statements by zionists leaders were made from a position of power and were fully carried out (they explicitly called for the ethnic cleansing of the land of palestine and it is what they did). statements from hamas come from a place of retaliation, a place of oppression. not the same.
but hey, if you don’t want to take my word on it, here’s an article by a jewish woman on how hamas is not fighting against jews, they are fighting against oppression.

anyway. let’s move on to WHY so many of you genocide supporters don’t want to acknowledge hamas as a resistance group.

here is a statement by dr. john mearsheimer, an american political scientist and international relations scholar

if you’re too lazy to check out what he says, let me quote him:

“it’s not like hamas attacked on oct 7th because they were just a bunch of antisemites who hated jews (…) this is not Nazi Germany. This was directly related to the occupation and what was happening inside of gaza. and it’s not in israel’s interest or the lobby’s interest to have an open discourse about what the israelis have been doing to the palestinians since (…) roughly 1903 when the second aliyah came to (…) what was then palestine”

and where the subject of “human shields” is concerned… it is merely propaganda and a desire to dehumanise the palestinians and the palestinian resistance. you are just another racist attempting to demonise people fighting for their liberation.

i mean this isn’t the only time racists and zionists have attempted to discredit palestinians. israel has even criminalised palestinian human rights organisations by labelling them as “terrorist organisations”.

here is a quote by diala shamas, a human rights lawyer:

“after years of unsuccessful efforts to persuade, or bully european and US donors and allies to defund and discredit palestinian human rights defenders, the israeli govt gives up and just criminalised them under israeli law.”

now. circling back to the human shields accusation you so badly attempt to use as an excuse to dehumanise and demonise palestinians and the palestinian resistance, why don’t we take a look at this:

excerpt from “gaza: an inquest into its martyrdom” by norman finkelstein

in 2008 when israel broke the ceasefire with hamas, idf claimed hamas were using human shields. however, after investigation by the UN and amnesty international, it was found that not were these allegation were baseless, it was actually the idf who used human shields.

and if that report is too old for you, here’s a statement by a doctor in al-shifa hospital from a few days ago about how medical workers were used as human shields. again, if you’re lazy, here are some quotes:

“israeli troops used [medical workers] as “hostages” as they invaded the hospital, and later detained the head of the hospital, along with more than 20 other medical personnel from gaza, in what one palestinian medic called a “war on hospitals”.
"when they stormed the ground stores, they used us [doctors] as human shields to enter and search them. they found the technical maintenance employees there and interrogated them, before they detained them."

and if you still want to somehow blame hamas for all of this cruelty… tell me: how do you explain this?

a journalist shows footage of premature babies who were left to die in gaza. the parents were forced out or the hospital under the threat of being shot. according to testimonies, the parents of the newborns only left their babies after idf told them the red cross would evacuate the babies, but that did not happen. instead, the babies were left to die of starvation, cold and alone, their bodies decomposed.

and even if that’s not enough to convince you that palestinians are not out to kill jews, that they are fighting against oppression and occupation

let’s talk about how an 8-year-old boy, adam al-ghoul was shot point blank by israeli soldiers. a child can’t be a terrorist, now can he? how would you explain this? and he is not the only case. in an article by the DCIP, it is said that:

“palestinian children in jenin have been a routine target for the israeli military (…) it is shocking that Israeli forces, sitting in an armored vehicle, can fatally shoot two children in broad daylight and the international community will refuse to hold them accountable.”

in fact… israel has a track record of consistently “arresting” minors with no charges under false pretenses. these minors are later subjected to extreme levels of torture. here are some statistics for you:

when palestinian children arrive at the interrogation centers, 80% of them are stripped of their clothing and searched by an adult israeli soldier. then, they are subjected to interrogations that can last days and, in most cases, are conducted without the presence of a parent or lawyer.
66% of the children are not informed of their rights during arrest and interrogation, while an estimated 25% of children are placed in stress positions in order to coerce confessions.
around 1 in 4 palestinian children detainees are also placed into solitary confinement as a method of coercion. others are beaten, subject to sleep deprivation, and other forms of physical and psychological torture.

so tell me: who are the “fucking terrorists” now?

🎄 25 DAYS OF CHRISTMASDAY TWO 🎄 HOME ALONE (1990). dir Chris Columbus "This is Christmas. The season has the perputal hope. I don't care that I have to get out on your runway and hitchike. It costs me everything I own. I have to sell my soul to the devil himself. I am going to get home to my son"

whatever bond I have with this person is not feeling right, I feel used most of the time, and every time i try to talk about myself (which is not always) I feel like they are shutting me down, like they don't care. And it's worse that I feel like I can't even talk to them about this because the few times I tried to talk about feelings or communicating things, they reply dryly.

I'm gonna explode one day if this keeps going, obviously, but I simply don't even know how to handle this. I keep expecting them to get better because I wanna believe in the good side of people, but i'm getting tired of feeling so insignificant and used.

“He is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen and it’s not about his face, but the life force I can see in him. It’s the smile and the pure promise of everything he has to offer. Like he’s saying, ‘Here I am world, are you ready for so much passion and beauty and goodness and love and every other word that should be in the dictionary under the word life?’ Except this boy is dead, and the unnaturalness of it makes me want to pull my hair out with Tate and Narnie and Fitz and Jude’s grief all combined. It makes me want to yell at the God that I wish I didn’t believe in. For hogging him all to himself. I want to say, 'You greedy God. Give him back. I needed him here.’”
