Inktober 2021 Prompt no.8 - “Watch”⏱
I’ve been wanting an excuse to draw fan-art of the game, ‘Return of the Obra Dinn’ by Lucas Pope. Where you play an insurance agent in the 19th century, tasked to explore the titular abandoned ship with the use of the Memento Mortem: A magic pocket-watch that transports you to the last seconds in a corpse’s life in order to discover the often identites and gruesome fates of the doomed crew and their voyage.
Ship’s Surgeon Henry Evans has big 2022 energy.
My current brain rot is Return of the Obra Dinn
Summary:
And since there is little fan content looks like I’ll have to make my own

“Things that do not directly benefit me have a net positive on society, which I am a part of” is something more people need to learn.
The real title should be "Officer attacks wife then kills himself", but notice how he is absolved of all responsibility in the title. His wife is described as "critically injured". This is passive language. They do this on purpose to play down how prevalent violence against women is, especially by officers. Disgusting.
Or “Officer kills self after attempting to kill and critically injuring former partner” or something that indicates that she had already left him when he decided to find and kill her
"Nick loved a girl who doesn’t exist. I was pretending, the way I often did, pretending to have a personality. I can’t help it, it’s what I’ve always done: The way some women change fashion regularly, I change personalities."
