It is and has always been so incredibly important to love and support your black friends, colleagues, and neighbors as well as your favorite black artists & businesses. Black people have always been a huge driving force at the forefront of our culture. Black people have long been the blueprint for language, music, style, and much more of our way of life not only here in America, but all across the world. And yet, anti-blackness remains omnipresent amidst a population that is so clearly inspired by who they discriminate against the most. It is so crucial to our society that we not only take the time to recognize and appreciate the global influence that black culture has steadily maintained on everything that we do, but that we recognize and appreciate the humanity of the black people that we share this planet with.
A big part of why I decided to start my beauty blog was to highlight not just the beauty of black women but to bring light to black creatives that may spend more time behind the camera who often go under-appreciated on social media (all the while molding and setting all the beauty trends that we consume from it). Today I would like to highlight 9 fabulous black makeup artists that consistently inspire me and my work that I want you to follow right now.
