First time as an actor having to be brutally murdered onstage and help why is it so embarrassing
Me walking into the greenroom after I just spent a whole scene screaming and begging for my life: hey…. How y’all doin…
Director: please stop giving people the thumbs up while you’re being murdered.
Me: …just trying to break the tension
In my experience the embarrassment comes from other people worrying about you. We all logically know everyone is safe and everyone is pretending but it’s a deep-rooted human instinct to react when another person screams in pain or you hear their body hit the floor, and causing that reaction when inside your head you’re fine feels SO awkward.
#for me it wasn't embarrassing when i had to die onstage#honestly was kinda cathartic cause everytime i died i had to do a bloodcurdling scream#and i loved doing that scene because it was socially acceptable for me to do a banshee-esque scream#and then i just would walk offstage like nothing happened and one of the assistant stage managers asked me if i needed tea or anything#and because i have some vocal training i know how to scream without hurting my voice
another thing abt me. i use the 👍 emoji very liberally. im not being sarcastic or passive aggressive im being like cool ok or thanks for the heads up or etc. to me 👍 is an innocent happy polite little emoji

Yknow in hindsight growing up with KH really had me spoiled with how thoroughly & consistently it uses its musical motifs/themes
I really started playing other games being like "wym there isn't a unique theme for literally every major character that both references other character themes to emphasize the relationships between them and also is frequently referenced in battle music in contextually significant ways :/"

#THE COLORS IN THEAE PANELS ARE *CHEFS KISS*#ok but i took costume design and one of the things i learned was that clothes that characters wear can be used as a lie#or to conceal the person's actual thoughts and feelings#leia wearing white which is considered pure and good is hiding the anger and pain she has over what vader and the empire have done#and the black belt and shoes are revealing that her anger is bubbling up#i feel like she speaks her mind and isn't afraid of saying what she thinks#but she still hides her pain#meanwhile luke is wearing all black and black can represent power in color theory#and the black represents power as well as her grief for leia#and luke is someone who kinda wears his heart on his sleeve which comes across with the all black#he is powerful and he is able to talk about his grief and pain more than leia#which is why the black is more prominent than leia#leia also has the status of being a princess which also adds to why the white is so prominent#she was expected to uphold a particular image that was 'clean' which is another reason to wear white#but the belt and boots reveal her true personality
