start of a comic i am doing. it might be a big one, since i’ve not felt so sure of a feeling for so long in a while, even if it’s a little negative.

Why are we seeing videos, recordings of black men getting shot and killed as if this is a show for people to watch. This is NOT entertainment. There is a enough evidence to put these cops in prison. Something needs to change.

Lord this should have more notes. I’m sure a lot of sistas feel her pain.

me 99.9% of the time defending myself to the world fucking shit.

I feel it.

This is literally every time a black person gets mad. You can have a masters degree and they still gonna call you ghetto when you pop off.

1. It’ll get tough. Really fucking tough. You already knew that. But that’s life, accept it. Put away the books for an hour, drink some tea, cuddle your pets, stare at the ceiling, watch some Youtube videos, and then finish your homework. 2. There will be a lot of days where you wanna quit or can’t get out of bed. Don’t call in sick and don’t drop out. You can do this, you can survive this year like all the others. 3. Enjoy learning new things. Knowledge is power, knowledge is sexy. 4. Don’t pay attention to others, you are here for you, nobody really pays attention to others anyway. 5. Be nice to teachers and help fellow students. Kindness makes life so much easier. 6. ASK THINGS. Ask the most stupid question and ask the hardest. Just ask anything you want to know. Teachers think you’re dumb? Fuck them. Students laugh at you? Fuck them. YOU need to pass that class and YOU need that degree. 7. Make your lunch the evening before if you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. Breakfast helps you start up your day. If you don’t have time to eat at home, make some for in class. 8. Go to bed early. A good night’s rest is everything. It’ll make getting out of bed a lot easier. 9. Always carry a water bottle with you. ALWAYS. 10. Take a deep fucking breath. It’s all going to be okay. Take a few steps back and look at your situation with a clear view. Realize how far you’ve come already. Be proud of yourself. Celebrate small victories. You are doing okay.

You think you’ve seen her naked because she took her clothes off? Tell me about her dreams. Tell me what breaks her heart. What is she passionate about, and what makes her cry? Tell me about her childhood. Better yet, tell me one story about her that you’re not in.   You’ve seen her skin, and you’ve touched her body. But you still know as much about her as a book you once found, but never got around to opening.

A black teenager who was naked and acting erratically in an Austin, Texas, neighborhood Monday was unarmed when he was fatally shot by police, the Austin Police Department says.

Police say that on Monday morning they received multiple calls from residents of the neighborhood in the northeast of the city reporting the teen, now identified as 17-year-old David Joseph, was “acting erratically” and “chasing” another male in a nearby apartment complex.

The 911 dispatcher told The officer the teen had no weapons that were reported and that he was unarmed before the officer arrived at the scene at about 10 a.m.  Freeman told police that Joseph did not listen to his commands before shooting.

“Mr. Joseph ultimately charged at the officer and that’s when shots were fired,” Manley said, noting Freeman fired just seconds after the confrontation began.

Police are reporting that although the dashboard camera recorded audio, it didn’t record video of the incident because most of the incident just happened to occur “outside of the frame.” The audio recording has not yet been made public.

Manley wouldn’t say if a stun gun was deployed by the officer during the incident, but seeing as the teen was obviously unarmed, There were other non-lethal forms of restraint that could have been used.

The teen died Monday at Round Rock Medical Center.
