if you're from Ukraine, you have a uterus and don't want to be pregnant:

1. First of all AVOID AT ANY COST people and sites that have the name of "Ordo Iuris" or "pro-prawo do życia" (translate: pro-life). If you see a logo of fetus inside a heart, run.

Pro-prawo do życia foundation informed that one woman from Ukraine contacted them, asking for abortion. She barely spoke polish, which they admitted without any shame, that's why she thought that if they talk about abortion, they can provide it. They informed that they "explained children are not killed in Poland" and that now she's "in a safe place where no harm can come to her and her baby". I don't have words for how fucking inhuman it is to manipulate traumatized woman into carrying pregnancy she's not ready for since she's a refugee with no finances.

2. If you need abortion, contact:

Ciocia Basia (abortion in Berlin; they can be found on facebook and theor email is ciocia.basia@riseup.net)/ Ciocia Czesia (abortion in Czech Republic)

Abortion without borders (all of the above cooperate with them)

They will give you information on how to perform safe abortion with right medicaments or will help to travel abroad.

3. If anyone would try to threat you, remember than in Poland it is still legal to do abortion yourself, that's why it's mostly done with pills. Don't let them manipulate you. Fuck these people. You're not evil for needing abortion.

Please, help me spread this message and translate it in Ukrainian, please

Aborcyjny Dream Team (польська організація)

Ciocia Basia (аборт в Берліні, Німеччина; їх можна знайти на Фейсбуці, електронна пошта: ciocia.basia@riseup.net) / Ciocia Czesia (аборт в Чехії)

Abortion without borders (організації вище співпрацюють з цією)

Aborcyjny Dream Team (польская организация)

Ciocia Basia (аборт в Берлине, Германия; их можно найти на Фейсбуке, электронная почта: ciocia.basia@riseup.net) / Ciocia Czesia (аборт в Чехии)

Abortion without borders (организации выше сотрудничают с этой)

Ways to support Ukraine 🇺🇦

More than 500,000 people have already left Ukraine due to the invasion by the Russian Federation. The European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management estimates that roughly 18 million Ukrainians will be affected by the conflict in humanitarian terms, with 7 million internally displaced and 4 million seeking refuge elsewhere. To help those still in Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian refugees, we’ve compiled this list of resources.

HelpUkraineWin.org has a collection of vetted and trusted resources, charities, and organizations to help Ukraine.

Have these people never seen ice on a lake before??

I certainly haven’t

I mean, I have seen ice on a lake many times I think it’s the fact that this one has waves that break and move said ice that’s the terrifying but cool part

i think a lot of neurotypicals misunderstand what “routine” means in the context of autistic ppl needing routine. they seem very fixated on the idea that routine means doing the same thing at the same time every day (eg always eating at 12, always showering at 7, idk, stuff like that) and they don’t seem to get that while yes, those are a kind of routine that some autistic ppl need/like, it’s not the only thing.

like for me, for example, it is way more important that the songs i listen to play in the right order and that the right kind of audio is on in the background when i do different tasks than it is that i do said tasks at a specific time of day. the routines that are important to me are about how i do things, not when. but nt ppl don’t understand this.

why is this important? bc i have had So. Many. neurotypicals tell me that the reason i’m depressed/anxious/not feeling well is that i don’t have enough of those when routines in my life. that obviously if i made sure to always shower at the exact same time of day i wouldn’t be depressed. that obviously if i made sure to always get up at exactly the same time, no wiggle room of even a minute, then i wouldn’t be anxious. “because you’re autistic!” they say, “and routines are important for you! you’ve even said so yourself!”

and then they proceed to not take the actual reasons why i’m feeling unwell seriously, because obviously if an autistic person isn’t living minute by minute according to a schedule that dictates their every move then that has to be the cause of all their problems.

Seizure First Aid.

Learn it. Share it. Know it. Use it.

100% correct medical information on tumblr for once; also consider calling 911 if you don’t know how often the person has seizures and ESPECIALLY if the seizure has lasted 5 minutes or more (which is why the watch is critical)

I have epilepsy so making sure the word is out on how to help people who do have seizures means a lot to me.

The shoulder

the articulation of hubris

God really went nuts, just said “go wild, you funky little monkeys!” and gave us a spheroid joint that can move in all directions and do  e v e r y t h i n g !~, except stay in its fucking place when hit by a light breeze

A fucking mess:

“Looks complicated, how does it work?” It doesn’t

big fan of God, but this was a rookie mistake

God: hmm…I’m not sure about this one human joint, can you review it?

Pre-callout Satan: looks great fam 👌

Wow, I’ve just had my first articular injury and you guys will never guess in which joint it was!!

As someone with shoulder trouble I feel this. I always tell my friends on what I call a “bad shoulder day” where my pain acts up and stops me from doing certain things as good as “good shoulder days” that they should never get shoulder trouble because it’s a pain in the ass

to trans people who can’t afford a binder or can’t get one, there’s an organization called genderbands! fill out the form on their website and they will send you a binder that comes for FREE!!  their binders are from individuals who donate (and if you’d like to donate you can also go to the website and see what you have to do!) they’re shipping to canada, the us, and mexico.

I also just got mine from an organization I found in Salem Massachusetts, I don’t know their locations but I’ll put their website here:

I just walked in with a friend of mine to check it out and I talked to one of the people and mentioned that I wanted to start to wear a binder and they just said “You need one? We have some free ones” and I ended up walking out with one. Just in case there’s any other New Englanders and such- plus it was a really nice place in general. Anyone know of other organizations that offer free binders and maybe this can turn into a list of places that will do stuff like this?

Ok so just about every summer fast fashion chains bring blouses like these back into rotation:

These particular ones are from h&m and romwe, tho you can find them all over the place, but the thing is that these designs are pretty blatantly lifted from eastern european traditional clothing designs (but poorly made & without a penny going to those eastern european communities). So, if you like these types of designs but hate fast fashion, I’ve decided to compile a list of some alternative places where you can buy them from actual eastern european artisans. Just as a side note, you are more than welcome to wear these designs even if you do not belong to the culture the design is from, the only issue here is with big corporations profiting by ripping off our culture and then doing nothing for our communities.

Also, a heads up that while the fast fashion version of these shirts are generally really cheap, the traditionally made ones are usually start at around US$50 or more, depending on the complexity of the designs & some other factors (but they also last much longer than the cheap ones & are pretty much always made of natural fibers, like cotton or linen). You’ll notice that many of these places make garments to order, so you can often contact them to request a custom size or color.

So, without further ado:

  • BRS - Here you’ll find a lot of items that are made in the romanian tradition but feel fresh & updated. Gorgeous & ethically made but kind of pricey (with most blouses in the $150-250 range)
  • De Toujours - This brand is collaborating with romanian artisans on a traditionally made blouse that costs €200
  • Folklorica - A poland-based etsy shop with some blouses embroidered in the Polish tradition, along with other traditional and tradition-inspired garments (most items are in the $30-50 range)
  • EtnoSoul - A ukraine-based etsy shop, traditional & tradition-inspired fashion. They have embroidered blouses along with other things, such as dresses & children’s clothing. They also have wedding dresses & men’s embroidered shirts, which both look sick as hell (price range: $90-270)
  • SvitVyshyvanok - Another Ukraine-based etsy shop, really pretty embroidered dresses!! (price range: $60-200 for most items)

This is ofc an incomplete list, please feel free to add on! Also, if there are local or diaspora artisans of other cultures whose traditional designs resemble that of these types of embroidered shirts, please feel free to add them as well!

In the spirit of May 24th - a national holiday dedicated to Bulgarian language and culture - I’ve got a bunch of Bulgarian artists with similar motifs to add:

  • Veze - the High Fashion of the bunch, if you’re feeling fancy. They do tailored dresses and shirts.
  • Vezba - a wonderfully diverse website with quality material. Not too expensive, particularly by Western standards - about $25 for a t-shirt, more for a hoodie.
  • Bulgarka - They have several categories you can look through with traditional motifs - be it dresses, scraves or t-shirts.
  • Rose&Pepper - my personal favourite. Some of the beautiful scraves they have/make are less than 10 euros and worth every penny. Unfortunately, they only have a Facebook store, not a separate website, but they do deliver abroad, too.
  • Charshia-handmade -  how about a legit old-timey technique used to make whatever you’re shopping for?
  • Babina Rakla - Literally meaning grandma’s old chest, they offer traditional items and clothing, as well as modern ones with a traditional twist.

If anyone wants to look into a place that does real deal traditional outfits - a bunch of local ones are available for order at Shevitsa - whether it’s a festival or a special event of some sort, you can get a pretty legit outfit. Same goes for Magazin Mluchkov.

Thank you for collecting these links !!!
