life is for taking therapeutic walks and being in your own bubble and reading books in bed and drinking iced beverages and eating fruit and gaining new experiences and dozing in sunlight and finding love in everything and not letting guilt consume your life actually

...اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ

"Then will you not reason?"

— (Qur'ān, 23:80)

This is one of most repeated phrases in the Qur'ān — the appeal to reason, the use of aql (intellect) to ponder upon the purpose of life and gain closeness to the divine presence palpable within it.

رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلۡنَا مَا لَا طَاقَۃَ لَنَا بِہٖ

"Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear"

(Quran, 2:286)

This supplication is beautiful because it recognizes that there's a point beyond which the burdens of life can break and incapacitate us. But what's even more beautiful is that the beginning of this verse answers this existential question itself:

لَا یُکَلِّفُ اللّٰہُ نَفۡسًا اِلَّا وُسۡعَہَا

"God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear"

(Quran 2:286)

Therefore, Allah is in a way, letting it be known that you will survive, you will be looked after, you will not be burdened beyond your capacity, and most importantly — you have the strength to bear whatever hardships life brings you, because He never charges a soul with something that it doesn't have the capacity to endure, all we therefore have to do is to search for that inner God-given strength and put it to use.

anthony bridgerton said “i am not a man of poetry” and then turned around and delivered “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires. night and day i dream of you” all men do is lie

I love reading writers for whom english is their second language and analyzing how their first language influences their style. People whose first language is romantic tend to be very descriptive and flowery with their english, whereas german or russian first language speakers are a lot more concise and almost abrupt. Most of the japanese writers I've read have had a simple, surrealist quality to their writing. Almost like watercolor paints. I just find it interesting.

Give me a warning if youre going to poke my side so that I have more time to punch your face
