The relief that comes with finally being free of a work situation that sucks the joy out of you and stresses you out way more than acceptable on the daily. It's incredible.
And that's why I am such a labour unionist with my whole entire heart. Work is so much of our live. Of our livelihoods. We need it. And we depend on it. Both on so many levels.
And this work should fit our life and care for us as much as we so often care for it and give back to us as much as we put in. More than just securing our rent and buying groceries. Work is the majority of our lifes for most of us. And it should be joyful. It should not only be labour born out of the need to survive.
