I’m poking around the new DC Universe site for an OpEd I’m writing and I discovered something:
It’s not perfect, they seem to still be adding to it, and some entries seem to be better/more complete than others BUT STILL. When I got into DC I only managed it because of two different versions of the physical DC Encyclopedia and lots of googling. To this day I only managed to read and enjoy JSA as much as I did because I’ve read that thing multiple times cover to cover.
AND THIS HAS SOME REALLY GOOD FEATURES!!!
Each entry has:
- A short intro w/ first appearance
- Character/team bio broken down by company wide reboots
- Powers & Abillities
- ESSENTIAL STORYLINES & HISTORY THAT GIVES YOU THE TITLE, YEAR AND ISSUE NUMBERS AS WELL AS A SHORT SUMMARY.
- Team Affiliations
- APPEARANCES IN OTHER MEDIA
just saw someone say that the worse thing about the justice league movie was Batman's characterization because Batman doesn't tell jokes and I'm not sure what comics they're reading but I am not reading the same ones, and there's definitely worse things in that movie

They’ve really outdid themselves on the stupidity factor with Sharknado 6, but it’s so stupid I love it.
