Hadn't read this in a while and I started crying

I’m noticing a tend of people accusing those they disagree with of being disingenuous rather than addressing the possibility they might just disagree. Or hold deeply to their opinions, correct or not. It’s quite the accusation, given that unless you’re talking to a public figure with a long record, you don’t have much or any proof when you say that they must actually be lying or not mean what they’re saying.

Not to mention it’s a rather passive aggressive way of asserting your disagreement.

Let people disagree, genuinely and deeply. Dig into other world views before dismissing them out of hand. Understand that a position you find impossible to hold may be actually quite intuitive for someone else.
