Born as a prince of a mighty kingdom where its rulers are blessed with the power of lightning, Arche was renowned in the royal court for being the weakest in the entire lineage. But after he attempts a treasonous act against his family, Arche has only one chance to regain his dignity: kill the bloodthirsty god, Molok. The God of War and Flame, the demonic god where his name is uttered in whispers, stands between Arche and his honor. Although Arche slays Molok in the end due to Molok’s unwillingness to fight, there’s one small issue: both of them finds themselves in the afterlife, with Molok under a contract to aide the person that murdered him.
- Biggest Fear: Everything and everyone with the potential to cause him immense pain. Even pigeons.
- Personality: Arche is extroverted, yet has a hard time making friendships due to his trust issues. Only someone with a large ego could have the courage to slay a god on his own accord, which is precisely what Arche has. Most of the words he utters are laced in lies and hyperboles, making him more dramatic than the weakest theater kid. He also happens to be a walking disaster, who gets drunk easily. Though his charming persona can weaken a fool, his merciless behavior towards enemies can scare the God of War himself.
- Current Relationship with Molok: They’re roommates. Arche respects Molok’s power, but believes he wastes his strength to pursue a more human life. Arche is also annoyed by Molok’s uncleanliness.
- Fun Fact: Arche designed the prosthetic that he wears now. He has a prosthetic with a built-in crossbow, a prosthetic with a retractable sword, and a prosthetic to make alcohol. If it’s stupidly useful, chances are that Arche has it.
- Why is he missing an arm? Arche will say he lost his arm in a valiant effort to vanquish a monster, but the truth can be found in his royal life.
- Bonus: Arche snores loudly and spends hours in the shower.
- Note: He is 25 years old physically and has the mentality of a 25 year old.
- Sexuality: Pansexual (but leans towards men) and Demiromantic
- Biggest Fear: He’s scared of water and the color of a bright red.
- Personality: As the God of War and Flame, Molok is a monster on the battlefield. It is said that he could defeat an army with a swing of his spear, and had the strength to hold a thousand men. Though he was raised to be a notorious legend among the heavens, Molok has a heart of gold much to the surprise of many, especially Arche. Whenever he roams the streets, he would give whatever money and food he has to the orphans on the street. Unfortunately for Molok, he has a hard time expressing his emotions and confuses people on account of not understanding how feelings works. Despite his bloody past, Molok hopes one day to join the mortals and experience life as a normal human. His wish granted when Arche killed him, allowing him to stay by the side of a human perspective Molok had never seen before. Regardless of his disdain of Arche’s lack of compassion for others.
- Current Relationship With Arche: Molok admires Arche’s unpredictability and cunning, but is annoyed by Arche’s arrogance and lack of compassion for others. With Archie’s long showers and hair products cluttering the room, Molok is tired of Arche’s insistence of treating himself like royalty.
- Fun Fact: Molok refuses to eat meat and blood, a habit he has maintained for 18,000 years. He was raised by a kinder goddess, one who showed him how special humanity could be. He has a particular hatred for beef.
- Why the hate of beef? Molok is cursed to turn into a monstrous bull, which he considered to be partial cannibalism. The reason for his curse is a memory he tries to forget.
- Bonus: Molok has a bad habit of leaving a mess everywhere. From mismatched clothes and a messy closet to an unmade bed, Molok’s uncleanliness gets on Arche’s nerves.
The two of them live in the afterlife as detectives serving the Goddess of Death, in hopes that Arche might gain a second chance at life for his service.
PS: I’m going to have a Webtoon releasing in July 2023 about these gremlins called “Farewell from the Afterlife” if you’re interested :) It’s about these two along with 3 more of my gremlins solving mysteries in the underworld.
