“There are lessons from every movie,” Berg explained. “You would be silly not to analyze how a movie was received — what went right and what went wrong on the making of a movie. On Suicide Squad, the movie did incredibly well commercially. It didn’t work narratively. You had some great casting and some great characterizations, but where the story fell down was on narrative, on plot. We could do better. Batman v. Superman was tonally dark. People didn’t respond to that.”
While Berg was clearly alluding to the drastic tonal shift that Wonder Woman has brought to the DCEU, Geoff Johns (who reportedly had a lot of input on the film’s script, albeit uncredited) made it clear that not every film in DC needed to share the same outgoing sense of heartfelt positivity. “Wonder Woman celebrated exactly who the character is, but looking at it, it’s not like we should change everything to be about hope and optimism,” Johns said. “There’s nothing to change. That’s what these characters are.”
Bleeding Cool is receiving reliably sourced information about a new Fantastic Four movie being developed at Fox Studios. And while the most recent movie reinvented the Fantastic Four as youngsters, along the lines of the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book, the movie swings to the other end of the spectrum. Instead, it will concentrate on Franklin and Valeria, the children of Reed Richards and Susan Storm. While still having the Thing and the Human Torch along for the ride.
Indeed, the whole movie will be kid-centric with a vibe far more reminiscent of The Incredibles. In an instant, this will totally separate the movie from the previous failed attempt. But also mean there’s no actual need for a reboot. And, yes, we know this is full of generics. So how about something specific? Go on then.

Sir, if you don’t mind my saying, I’m a little concerned. I’ve seen you go through similar phases in…
Sony have said that Venom and any other Spiderman spin-offs will be in the mcu!!!!
It’s clear from Kevin Feige’s reaction in the interview that this “announcement” came out of left field and was not discussed with him. Sony, or more specifically Amy Pascal, has tried to do a power play here. By announcing this in an interview she has tried to force Fiege’s hand to allow non-Disney movies be considered MCU canon. She is renowned for pulling stunts like this. I highly doubt it’s going to happen unless Feige gets a say in how they’re made. Sony can claim they’re connected all day long but that doesn’t mean Disney will acknowledge it. If Feige and Disney had no part in making it I wouldn’t hold my breath for them considering it canon. Until it comes out of Feige’s own mouth, don’t consider this “announcement” official.
You need to follow the three rules of being a Power Ranger. You must never use your power for personal gain. You must never escalate a fight unless your enemy forces you to. And you must never reveal your identity. Ever.
Oh, come here, you emotionally stunted freak.
Very heartwarming moment really reflecting on Wally’s character.
