apparently europeans have the impression that US Americans never learn the metric system.
like our science curriculum from day one is entirely done in the metric system. we just don't use metric in our day to day lives.
yeah actually we kinda just do it for the bit :)
I have had people try to gently and kindly explain to me the workings of the metric system, as if Americans are having trouble with the concept of a base ten system. like no. we get it. we were taught this when we were like eight. it's just that like. we don't really wanna do it that way. for the bit.
^^exactly
radfems foaming at the mouth because women decided to stop being shamed for *checks notes* existing while dumb
It's not about women not being shamed for being dumb, it's about playing into a stereotype that women are dumb and vapid, and that that's all they are. How is it feminist for women to tell men they are stupid and ready to have sex with them?
a "bimbo" is also not just a dumb woman. it s SPECIFICALLY a woman who is voluntarily being dumb while putting all her effort into being as sexually appealing as possible to men.

today on aita: moid doesn't know the difference between playing pretend with a child and real life. also indicates that he doesn't play with his child. lmao
Sorry, but children are the ones that can't tell the difference between pretend and real-life.
This will be an unpopular opinion here but unregulated, unstructured 'princess-play' leads to loads of developmental issues for girls. It is recommended that if girls are interested in princesses, it is important to emphasize that princess play-time is just that: play time, and that the little girl is not an actual princess. Princesses as depicted in children's fiction (ordering around servants, picky/high standards about dating, spending all day with horses or having adventures) never existed, and setting up a little girl to expect being treated like royalty is a sure-fire way to traumatize her when no-one outside her immediate family capitulates to the 'princess'. This was a rare AITA where the dude was in the right; the mom should not be enforcing the 'I am a princess all the time' mentality.
They were literally in the middle of playtime, my dude. It's obviously structured if they have specific outfits they put on for it. Imagine saying it's unhealthy for kids to play pretend... They develop their imaginations as a tool for understanding the world. Like asdfghjkl I pretended to be a dog for an entire year when I was 2-3 because my favorite movie was 101 Dalmatians, and I wasn't "traumatized" when people told me I wasn't a dog. Most adults went along with it because, you know... That's what adults are supposed to do? And pretending is what kids are supposed to do??? Most people went through a phase as kids where they pretended to be princesses, or mermaids, or cats, or dragons, or anything else under the sun. My brother thought he was a physical manifestation of a human stomach that was painted orange. Kids are just like that.
Also, you're reading a lot into this mother based on nothing but her asshole husband's reddit post lmao. Maybe you should explore your unconscious biases. Either way, you can have your own kid and restrict them from developing an imagination and using it to explore the world if you want, but that's not how most people raise their kids. Most of us accept the plastic food kids 'cook' and say "omnomnomnomnom" as we pretend to eat it. We don't tell them that akshually it's unrealistic because plastic food isn't real and they aren't developing real cooking skills and they're setting unrealistic expectations that food is free.

Misandry will not kill men. Misandry will not change the course and difficulty of their lives. It will not keep them up at night wondering why they were born male. It won't be interwoven in even the smallest interactions and they'll never have to fight internalized misandry that will be persistently fed to them before/after/if they escape it. Misandry will not kill men.
made a quick 3d bunny
10/10 thank
but… not all men, right?
Okay moids. Let's go. Don't be cowards. Leak your little boy chats. Be male in public. Let your sisters know. Let your mom know. Let grandma know. Show your group chat on the first date. Are you ashamed? Are you a coward? Come on now. Quit hiding behind the nice guy act. Man up and speak your mind publicly.
Post your porn search history. Actually it should be appended to every tinder date and job application too. Where’s anonymous now - expose what brings a man to orgasm.

“you don’t like the proliferation of terms like Unalive outside of TikTok because you realize that you’re aging out of youth culture and it makes you uncomfortable!”
no I don’t like it because there’s something INCREDIBLY dystopian about being forced to soften terms for basic parts of the human experience like death and sex (and even more so terms for oppressed minorities- call me a “le-dollar sign-bian” and I will bite you) purely because advertisers and corporations demand it
haters will put a sheet over your cage to try to make you think it's bedtime
