May have to go back to my roots with writing to get into the flow. If you know me then you know that means there's gonna be a lot of cringe HP.

Is now the end of my birthday but apparently I have another one tomorrow?? I'm not mad at that. Must be royalty. 😆

And now... to bury my head in Fallout 76 for the rest of this evening.

do you perhaps have a recommendation for someone wanting to play Dragon Age? my birthday is coming up ans i wanna get one of the games, but i don't know where to really start..

If you don't mind taking a little bit of a walk back in time, I highly recommend Origins. Origins for me helped me understand some of the factions of the universe while learning about a lot of the characters little quirks and essentially "where it all began", without being too overwhelming.

The game itself came out in 2009 so if you are looking for top notch graphics, it is not the game for you, but if you can stomach a few less polygons, it really is a brilliant story and I closely followed that game up with 2. Dragon Age 2 was also a brilliant game in my opinion.

I hope that helps!

not-so-friendly reminder that hunting is an important part of conservation in many cases and that painting all hunting as morally, ethically, and/or environmentally "bad" does a major disservice to indigenous people, poor communities, and our environment

I won't lie to you all. I fell out of love with Dragon Age a longgg time ago. I used to love the games. Origins particularly having a fond place in my heart. My issue as the series went on was that the depth of these characters became more shallow then ever as time went on. Although the stories in total were heavier and the sense of impending doom at times was far more intense, the connection with these characters no longer seemed to differ from any other role-playing game. Skyrim was great game to see cause and effect and build relationships, but it made newer Dragon Age seem old already. Sod it, the Fallout franchise these days even seems to outdo the depth of character that is necessary but seems to be lacking in the Dragon Age universe.

I do want to clarify one thing though; DRAGON AGE FANS ARE AMAZING. The amount of fanfiction and art that has been used to fill the gaps over the years, the level of detail people manage to pump into the fanart of all types is absolutely mind-blowing. I'm more invested in the fans creations these days then the games unfortunately.

(Though I am still enclined to look into getting some of the books to help flesh out the universes a little.)

Andromeda: So go and talk to her.

Bellatrix: No I can’t do that.

Narcissa: Aww, the big bad dark witch is scared to talk to a young woman

Bellatrix: I will hex you both

Narcissa and Andromeda: Aww, there she is
