Tamsyn Muir : "I'm not here to teach you, to teach you morals or what lesbians are. It's not taking your bromides."

She also wasn't here to teach us how the worlds work or what is going on. That's my Gideon the Ninth take. "Who are all these new characters." She's not here to teach us what the characters are. Also is it Hunger Games or something?

I know it's not the same, I think it's very much okay to not be teaching you morals, (this is about some other book, not Gideon: I still have kind of a sour taste in my mouth of characters getting punished for things by the narrative. Let her speak! Let her ruin everything. Honestly, sometimes, god forbid a woman do anything.

Are you even allowed to put a collon before you close paraenthesis? Like sure my internet poisoned brain saw a smilie face so I just omitted the closing parenthesis. All of this rambling will teach you to read negative opinions about Gideon, no you have to parse all this.

It's like how River Woman River Demon was good and even Patron Saint of Liars just dangle stakes and show you the results of her actions, respectively. But they get off . It's up to you to hate them. They did some dumb things. Muir might have been talking about Gideon being Harrow's slave or something. Really philosophical morals.

I'm not tagging this! This is such a stupid take! It's not even funny to do it ironically. And, send.

Actually I changed my mind. Homestuck.

Books of 2023: THE SOUTHERN REACH TRILOGY by Jeff VanderMeer. VanderMeer writes exactly my cup of tea: Weird, fucked up shit with a biological bent, and I am 100% Here For It. I held off on acquiring this trilogy for a weirdly long time, all things considered, but then I found it serendipitously at the Half Price Books where I used to work and I figured it was a sign. Then my excuse was saving it For The Right Time™, which turned out to be during Driscoll revisions (channeling big Weird Vibes over here, and the lighthouse thing is a nice bonus Rell touch), so here we are. I’m currently partway through AUTHORITY and I’m shrieking internally pretty much nonstop.

Unfortunately: The fact that it’s all in one volume means I’m under absolutely no obligation to stop reading, ever, and this is Not Good for me or my bedtimes. But I’m having a great time, and that’s what’s important, right??

Just!! Finished!!! Wow what a trip!!!!

Do you think, considering BPD is mostly women and antisocial is mostly men... like are there more antisocial people in America? Or more NPD people in, I dunno, any specific culture/place. Would there be completely different personalities if, like, men weren't supposed to be "not bothered by anything" ei stoic. This book I might just stop reading it right now. It says antisocial people don't even mind being in max security prison. Like. Why not? They are just too cool and detached. But not disassociated that would inspire sympathy and we can't have that for the PD that has 1/4 in prison. Maybe if we have boys and men a break they wouldn't get pressurized. Aren't some PD's environmental? Book says not this one! Funny. Well it said being imprisoned doesn't inspire depression the way it does other inmates, but the way people and prison guards think of psychopaths, even ones that have, well, killed people, probably they think they are lazy or manipulative or high functioning or spiteful. Instead of, depressed. In prison you are in survival mode I think. My book which only includes interviews from imprisoned antisocial personality havers. So it's not what I'm looking for. The title is risquée but how else would you market a psychology book? They all come across cool in their interviews, which is why I would keep reading, I guess, and maybe one of the chapters will be, I don't know. No no I was hoping the book would... 1/4 is high. They are marginalized. We've all thought about killing people. You have to lie to get anywhere in this world and I'm saying can't we do better and make a different world where you don't

sometimes a character is like . in the actual media itself they're thin but on all levels other than that they're fat, its just true they told me themself

Can I be controversial for a second and say that fans deserve explicit representation, not vague coding?

You deserve that character to be explicitly autistic, not just autistic-coded.

You deserve that sexuality, ethnicity, race, neurodivergence, mental illness etc to be explicit in the text/podcast/material.
