something i really enjoy in horror movies is when the victim(s) start to hunt the killer in return in order to kill them first, both because it's an interesting parallel that (if done well) asks the audience to consider the question of when violence and killing are a justifiable means to an end in order to survive and at what point it crosses the line from acceptable to abhorrent and condemns the perpetrator, and also because it's a little bit funny. like i can do that too bitch you're not special.

my advice to anyone graduating anything (but particularly to my art school people) is to not set a single expectation for what you "should" be doing or how "successful" you are for at LEAST a year. just survive and try to enjoy life when you can, you have soooo much time for "success" (whatever that looks like to you)

Frankly some of you should be hornier over weirder shit. The fear of being too genuine is the enemy of art. Be a bit of a pervert. It's good for the health. Doesn't have to be a sexual thing just own up to being a bit obsessed in some cringe shit it's fine.

“i also choose this guy’s dead wife” was easily the #1 funniest thing to ever be written on the internet.

you can know the punchline but you can’t stop it from punching you.

i do also feel the need to add that phil8248 really liked the joke. he said his wife had always had a dark sense of humour, even about her illness and death, and seeing the joke made him feel like he was laughing with her one last time.
