Thirteen years after they met, seven years after the war, Chrisjen's time in office is coming to an end. Bobbie marks an occasion, and ponders what the future holds for their life together.

It’s done! This is the final chapter!! I somehow managed to end up with a word count of 169k (nice) and I have absolutely no idea how it happened, but I hope you’ll enjoy my self-indulgent end to my self-indulgent story as much as I did.

i see a lot of assumptions that modern au sarah alder would be effortlessly cool and charming with women, but i think this underestimates her swagless appeal. she hasn’t had a friend outside of work in at least 200 years. if she’s angry, her polycule hisses at you. when tally storms into her office in the middle of the night demanding to know the truth about nicte, her instinct is to put on a slow jazz record. when tally has a visible gay existential crisis about alder’s mushroom resurrection, sarah is literally like Hey try these sick ass nachos. when tally makes her promise to leave her behind in the ice caves, she feebly protests by saying raelle and abigail would Kill her. meanwhile alder literally can’t die again unless the mushroom says so. SWAGLESS

i would kill for the confidence of novelists who write genius-poet characters and then actually write samples of the “genius” poetry in the book. if i were a novelist writing a genius-poet i’d just be like “trust me, the poetry’s real good.”

A SEVEN OF NINE NOVEL!!!! FROM ENDGAME VOYAGER TO SEVEN JOINING THE FENRIS RANGERS!!!

I was hoping Una McCormack would write this novel but I’ll take it, I’m not familiar with David Mack so I hope he does a good job with her.

Seven is my most favorite Trek character so I hope they do this well!
