For the longest time, there’s reluctance to sell my original paintings. I think it has less to do with the idea of parting with them than the simple fact that they are windows to my deepest personal vulnerabilities. It’s scary to be “looked at” directly, even if my paintings are not my actual self. In a way, perhaps letting them move onto another’s loving hand is a way to grow as a person.
