Billy witch enthusiast || any pronouns || autistic minor!! || consumer of niche media || i enjoy rambling on about stuff

Just wanted to show off some of my favourite billy witch promo photos, these were for the University of North carolina Wilmington / uncw production in 2017! (These promo photos feature Oliver, miranda and p.d lockwood. Though that may be a bit obvious)

Back to billy witch posting

Reading the script arden states that miranda is red headed. This itself is... technically correct as the non published draft was written for bloomington playwrights projects production? (And their miranda, courtney) at the time had curly short red hair)

Later in the script though it states that miranda also still wears her glasses? This leaves me to believe that the script is both a mix of either apacs/studio 42s AND bpps. Or thats just how it was in the draft?

AND the fact that in the performance of bpp sandy turns into a bat.. not a chipmunk? So I guess that further proves the point of it being a mix of studio 42/apac/bloomington??

(Also?? Arden has not been blonde. Once? Or atleast he hasn't been blonde in what I've seen. Not too sure about unm or post theatre?? Infact. Not even In the bloomington production was he blonde. So where on earth did that come from??)

Oh don't yall just love cheesy romantic stories?

(Switching it up a little and bringing bloomingtons miranda back to the feed! Gotta say. Bloomingtons billy witch production has really found a place in my heart! )

Don't normally post traditional art? But I was too happy with this one to let it go unposted :)

(Once again, a drawing of maria christina oliveras as gina. And alyse alan louis as georgette)

Sometimes I just sit and remember how last year I was talking to my mother about how Jeff goldblum was in the talks for wicked when she took me to go see it and then I actually ended up meeting Jeff goldblum at the stage door....

(This was actually how I got the whole rumour spoiled for me too... the image of me and Jeff remains my phone background to this day. He was super nice!)

Made the mistake of getting my friend to listen to norman by Joe iconis. They hope norman and marion have a happy and healthy relationship and that everything turns out okay for them.....

I...is this what it feels like to be a horrible person??? Because oh my dear lord their poor heart is gonna break when we watch psycho 1960 together....

Okay, genuine question for yall who have actually read billy witch on here. Have yall actually seen what the animal/transformation costumes look like? Cause I've been digging up so much content over the last... year (?) That I'm completely unaware of what people have seen of the play and what they haven't??

(Like...? Do yall even know how campy they look?

Get it? Campy? Haha!)

Okay I'm having to use two different productions for the photos of sandy but it doesn't really matter too much as it its done by the same people? (Studio 42/intar and apac are basically the same production)but here!

(Keep in mind all the costumes do look like this as gregory did infact state that the cheaper the look the better. But I think that's what makes them so much more creative!)

Going by character here. Starting with miranda:

Loving the use of rubber gloves in place for the tentacles. Glasses from the 2nd pic may have been changed as judging by amelias haircut AND the lack of camp logo on the shirt it was before billy witch actually began performances but hey!

Then we have sandy:

Sandy sort of goes through two changes through the play. The first one being the white highlights /extensions shown in her hair in the first image, and then the second being the whole, fake fur and the whole tail and ears thing. (If you notice in the 2nd image, from intars production, Maria's sandy has less prominent ears. Whereas Liz's sandy has more prominent ears!)

And finally. Arden:

Arden.... is the one the goes through the least changes id say? Not two sure. But obviously first is the change with the fake fur, fake teeth and everything. (And if you see behind lance rubin, Fake tail too!) And on the 2nd change he wears a bright orange jacket. Obviously representing the fox that his character arden changes into! (The 2nd photo is a litttle weirder. But to the people who haven't read the play there is context to the whole look on his face I can assure you! Though... I dont think the context would make it too much better...)

I could go on about these costumes for AGESSS though. But I hope these photos were okay !!! I'm always up for sharing production photos!!!

Hyperfixated on billy witch so hard that I've been temporarily banned from looking at events on Facebook pages.
