Happiness Is Not Automatic – You Have to Put Effort Into It | Suzanne Kane
"If you think that peace and happiness are somewhere else and you run after them, you will never arrive. Only when you realize that peace and happiness are available here in this moment, will you be able to relax." –Thich Nhat Hanh There always seems to be a lot of talk about happiness. We want to know what it is, where to get it, how to make it better, last longer, how to be happy in the face of illness, pain, despite financial setbacks, lack of progress at work and so much more. Indeed, the harder we search for happiness, the more likely it is that happiness will elude us. The truth is that happiness is not automatic – you have to put some effort into it. But how? Why Not Just Wait for Happiness? "Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions." – Dalai Lama
