It's Time to Go Back To Haddonfield: New HALLOWEEN Trailer Is Here - And It Rocks - Movies In Focus
The Halloween franchise has had a long and convoluted history, but now David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have cleared the board and reset to near zero (with the help of Jason Blum and John Carpenter). Halloween 2018 pitches itself as the true follow-up to Carpenter’s 1978 slasher classic, dropping all the sequels and showing Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode as a hunter, playing the long game in order to snag her ultimate prize: Michael Myers. I have to admit that this is the most promising trailer for a straight-up horror flick that I’ve seen in a long, long time. Maybe it’s Carpenter’s score or the fact that the horror genre has gone through a lot of bad cycles in the 21st Century. This is a no-holds barred slasher flick – and when was the last time we had a great one of those? I’m now truly excited for Halloween – roll on October 19, 2018.
