My Experience with Yohimbine HCL
So today I’m just gonna share my experience with Yohimbine when I was young and naive and tell you why I don’t recommend this product. What is Yohimbine? Yohimbine is a alpha-2-antagonist which inhibits the effects of alpha-2 receptors. Through this method of action yohimbine can supposedly mobilize stubborn fat (think belly fat). Yohimbe vs. Yohimbine Yohimbe is a herbal form of the product whereas Yohimbine HCL is the pharmaceutical version , both of which are extracted from a bark. Yohimbine HCL usually comes in 2.5mg capsules whereas Yohimbe can mislead people as its caps will contain a substantial amount of product (in the 1000mg+), however only a fraction of that is actually the active ingredient with the rest being usually alkaloids. My Experience So, as a young dumb teenager I decided to invest in some Yohimbine HCL and see if I could shift the stubborn fat left around my abdomen, it said it would on the bottle so I had no reason to doubt it….. I’d read somewhere that the recommended dosage was around 0.2mg/kg body weight. So just to play it safe I took one capsule first (even as dumb teenager I was still cautious). This did sod all, apparently. So I upped the dose to around 7.5mg and OH MY DAYS! My heart felt like Joey Jordinson was rocking out a drum solo! This was before I’d even started exercising. After that I simply got rid. My stance now is that taking anything that unnecessarily raises your heart rate while you’re at rest is just asking for trouble. Any of these over the counter “fat loss” supplements are going to be bogus and possibly dangerous. Save your money, save your health. Comments comments
