For over three centuries, the Coast has known the mechanical marvel that is the printing press. Invented by mechanist and blacksmith Lilas Soderheim, of Denseig, the typesetting machine has made fine and replicable print available to the masses. In the time since its conception, literacy has become pervasive in the middle stratas of Coastal society and above.
