Why "Self-Healing" Crochet Stitches? · Designing Vashti
Registration for classes opens soon. Here's more information about my "Self-Healing Stitches and How to Cut Them" class to help you choose whether to sign up for it. Cutting a self-healing stitch is creatively liberating and empowering. For me as a designer it's exhilarating! I think the term "self-healing" conveys some of the positive feeling people have in this class. It turns out that a large number of stitch patterns are, or can be subtly tweaked to be, self healing. If you can add a head opening, armholes, or any opening wherever you wish in a crocheted item, it means this is a distinct, different construction method. My crocheting mom might be right that it's a "game changer".
