Positive thinking is powerful. Negative thoughts feed pessimism and before you know it, you are unnecessarily stressed. It is possible to learn to transform negative thoughts into positive ones. Ok – so while the process is a straight forward one, it can be quite challenging in the beginning. But there’s one rule you can use when you start the process. And that is ” Don’t say anything to yourself that you wouldn’t say to anyone else.” Like my grandmother used to say, “If you’ve got nothing nice to say, say nothing” As you get through your day, stop and assess what you are thinking. If you spot a negative thought in your head, evaluate it rationally. Then, respond with affirmations of what is good about yourself.
