My (Ideal) Morning Routine - The February Fox
Before having my son, I lived entirely off of routine. Spontaneity was not my thing, and truthfully it still isn’t but I’ve learned to roll with the punches more these days. I’ve worked from home since shortly before Fox was born and I had this idea in my head that I’d have time for things I’ve been meaning to do. Maybe I’d actually write a grocery list before heading off to the store so I wouldn’t overspend or forget an important item. I could take a 20-minute power nap to boost my productivity. I’d go through the garage, one box a week, and start shedding items we no longer had use for. But I quickly learned that babies are Work with a capital W. Most of my visions were going to have to wait. When Fox started school back in August everything changed for me. Those little naps snuck in here and there and I did make it to the store sans angry toddler. Tyler let’s me wake up slowly while he takes Fox to school. I lay out his clothes the night before and make sure everything is in order so it’s an easy run out the door. After waking …
