Jalapeño Olive Bread + the Family Tradition I'm Reviving This Easter - The February Fox
One of my earliest childhood memories is standing by the sink as my grandma, or “Mammies” as I still like to call her, would drain the liquid from a can of Pearls® black olives right before she would stick an olive on each finger of one of my little hands. I looked forward to every holiday, knowing that this tradition would take place yet again and I’d have the reward of 5 yummy olives at the end. Did anyone else pop olives on their fingers as a kid? I feel like it’s some sort of rite of passage! This Easter, I plan on starting the tradition all over again with my little one, and I know he’s going to get a huge kick out of it. When I was scooping up a can of black olives, I noticed Pearls also carries jars of stuffed olives that were begging to be used by the grown-ups! But what should I make? I chose the kind stuffed with jalapeños and realized I had all the ingredients at home to make a fresh loaf of bread.
