New Health Clinic in Playa de Mogán expected to be available by September
The Minister of Health of the Canary Islands Government, José Manuel Baltar, visited the construction site of the highly anticipated Local health Centre in Playa de Mogán at the end of February with the current mayor, Onalia Bueno, and several members of the municipal government group. The facilities are expected to be available from September. The new clinic is being built on a plot ceded by the Council of Mogán in 2006 and is to have an area of ​​573.78 square meters that will meet the current and future needs of the Basic Health services for the area. The Health Minister, José Manuel Baltar, confirmed during the visit that “if everything goes as it has been by mid-September, we will be occupying the centre. The new clinic will have reception and administration areas that will be located in front of the main access, there will be a total of four consultation rooms, with their respective waiting rooms and patios landscaped making the rooms and spaces more comfortable and bright. A general care area and an emergency room will be built with resuscitation room, consultation areas, and an observation and waiting room. In addition, the building has scope to grow in size according to future needs. The Local Health Clinic will also have a 24-hour emergency facility. With the conclusion of this project in September, the municipality will now have medical centres in Mogán casco, Veneguera, Soria, Barranquillo Andrés and Playa de Mogán, as well as the Arguineguín Health Centre, guaranteeing broad health coverage throughout the territory.
