Fitz Roy Reflection - Art Wolfe Store
Named after Robert Fitzroy, Captain of Charles Darwin's ship the Beagle, Mount Fitzroy dominates the jagged skyline of Los Glaciares National Park in Patagonia. Perhaps because of its remoteness and legendary inclement weather, Fitz Roy (11289 feet) remained unclimbed until 1952. In this photograph a tarn relfects the warm rays of the early morning sun striking the mountain's east face.
