A large part of my law practice over these past 35 years has been devoted to severance, and I have identified five or six situations where we can almost expect our client to lose his or her job. Putting aside for the moment the "large-scale downsizing" category, the "New Manager" category is one of the most common "one-off," or individual, job loss situations.
