While it might not be popular to talk about your neighbours' weeds, when it comes to farming it is not something one can easily ignore. Farmers are part of an ecosystem, and when weeds attack one farmer's fields, if they don't do their best to control them, it's likely that the wind will carry those pesky and costly weeds to the neighbouring farmer's fields. U of S student, Andrew Mitchell lays out why the costs and issues surrounding neighbouring weed control, or lack of it, and proposes how farmers could be better protected under an improved policy.
