In the top of the first-inning, Robinson Cano hit a ground ball to Wilmer Difo and it appeared as if the Washington Nationals were going to get out of the first-inning with a double play. Instead, the Mets challenged the play at first base and Cano was safe because Gerardo Parra dropped the ball at first base. The inning kept moving and Wilson Ramos would hit a grand slam with two outs off of Jeremy Helickson. Because of it, New York never looked back and defeated Washington 6-2.
