Nationals Avoid Sweep Against Dodgers - Pro Sports Fandom
The Washington Nationals have lost three straight games entering Sunday afternoon’s contest at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In the first-inning, Adam Eaton and Manager David Martinez were both ejected for arguing balls and strikes. The game was tied at zero at the time. It would stay that way until the fifth-inning when Matt Beaty hit an RBI double for Los Angeles to make it 1-0 Dodgers. Washington responded in the fifth-inning on a two-run homer by Brian Dozier off of Walker Buehler and a Anthony Rendon RBI single to put them up 3-1, and the Nationals poured it on after that in a 11-4 victory over Los Angeles. In the sixth-inning, Washington scored four more runs. Stephen Strasburg hit an RBI single, Trea Turner reached based on a fielder’s choice which was fielded by first baseman Joc Pederson and Gerardo Parra and Brian Dozier both scored because of a throwing error, and Anthony Rendon hit an RBI single.
