MLB Future's Game Recap - Pro Sports Fandom
The MLB Future’s Game is where some of the top prospects in all of baseball get to show off their skills. The format for the past several years has been team U.S.A. vs team World and the games used to be nine innings. This year, it was the American League prospects vs the National League prospects. The game was cut from nine to seven innings. With the National League prospects leading 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh-inning, outfielder Sam Huff (Texas Rangers prospect) hit a two-run moon shot to left field to tie the game at two, but the game only went one more inning and it ended in a 2-2 tie. Huff hit the home run off of Colorado Rockies prospect left-handed pitcher Ben Bowden. Bowden is supposed to be the future closer in Colorado. He has been perfect in the minor leagues in save opportunities so far this season. Because of that home run, Sam Huff won the MLB Future’s Game MVP.
