MLB First Round Mock Draft - Pro Sports Fandom
The first-round of the MLB Draft will take place on Monday June 3. The entire MLB Draft will be three days and there are usually 40 rounds in the MLB Draft. For the players that get drafted in the first-round, they usually don’t go to the big leagues right away. Those players are always developing in the minor leagues. 1. Baltimore Orioles- Adley Rutschman, C, Oregon State: He is a switch hitting catcher. The Orioles have okay catchers in their system, but Rutschman would be a very high ceiling player. 2. Kansas City Royals- Bobby Witt Jr., SS, Colleyville Heritage (TX) High School: His father played in the major leagues for 16 seasons in the major leagues and was drafted in 1985. Bobby Witt Jr. has the potential to be a stud at the shortstop position for years to come. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go number one overall. He is 19 years old and the odds are Witt Jr. will most likely not play college baseball at the University of Oklahoma. 3.
